Warm and friendly welcome by the reception staff who were very accommodating. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, all that you want from a hotel room really. We only used the restaurant next door for a snack and a couple of drinks; the service and food was average.

We've stayed here a few times on overnight visits. Each time it has been excellent. The rooms are spotless and for the money, cannot be beaten. We stayed for the evening this week and were greeted by a fabulous young man with a great sense of humour, Ben. What a breath of fresh air, every reception should have a Ben. He kindly chilled our champagne which we took to a friend's in the evening, provided us with extra tea and sugar and was generally lovely. The position is excellent for both the New Forest and the beaches. The ultimate attraction however is G&T's ha ha. I dare you not to visit ......... Loadsa worthwhile and fantastically priced TAT, I love it.

Lovely stay in Highcliffe visited exploring the surrounding areas. We have stayed in better Premier Inns although the table service for breakfast was very good. Shame as some of the other Premier Inns have only offered a help yourself buffet. Works going on at the entrance to the pub so scaffolding up although this does not interfere with your stay.

Stayed here for a week as it was the nearest hotel to where our daughter and family were staying (Hoburne Naish holiday park)

Was a bit concerned as we had previously had an awful stay at the Premier Inn in Fort William (see other review) but this was better - BUT it is a Premier Inn!

    Good Points:

    Spotlessly clean throughout

    Very pleasant staff

Quiet (apart from the elephants in the room above one night)

    Reasonable parking

    Bad Points:

Lack of storage in the room (no wardrobe doors, only one drawer)

    Only one chair

Prem. Inn's idea of a twin room is one with a large double and small uncomfortable single bed.

The absolute minimum of tea, coffee, milk on the hospitality tray

Nothing apart from wall mounted soap and gel dispensers in the bathroom (no shower caps, toiletries or other refinements)

Insufficient coat hangers in the open wardrobe (6)

Window set so it can only open about two inches

The Globe pub where you can get you meals is basic pub grub at somewhat inflated prices and is not recommended for breakfast - evening meals are very average with the honorable exceptions of the steak and ale pie and the chicken and mushroom pie.

Most of the above is down to the senior management of the chain, not the local staff. We will not be staying at a Premier Inn again as the problems seem to be endemic.

Room Tip: Get a room on one of the upper floors

Stayed here for a week whilst attending a training course. Purpose built building, set back off the main road, nice and quiet, and very clean. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Overall very impressed.
