Owner description: Mudeford Quay is a small beautiful corner of the Borough of Christchurch in Dorset, England. Situated at the entrance of Christchurch Harbour, Mudeford Quay benefits from spectacular views along the coast, over to the Needles on the Isle of Wight & back to Christchurch town. Mudeford Quay is made up of two areas, the Quay itself and Mudeford Spit, a natural sandbank which leads to Hengisbury Head all the way to Boscombe & Bournemouth. The Quay is a hub of activity with beautiful beaches, the lush grassed area ideal for picnics and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the Quayside itself which has a small shops, a pub, a fish stall and plenty of vantage points to watch the world go by.

We walked from Highcliffe to Christchurch passing by Mudeford. It seemed very popular, lots of beach huts and a lovely mobile home site right on the beachfront. Lots of people crabbing and having lots of fun.

The sun was shining and it was lovely walking around the area. So beautiful and interesting to watch the morning walkers, children crabbing and fishing etc.

Not only took the teenages, but the grandmother and the grand children. Lovely pleasant stroll along the sea-front. Hours crabbing - seems to amuse everyone. Bait and nets can be bought quite cheaply at the cafe, and for £5 a very reasonable amount to be spent on keeping 4 generations amused for hours (and of course can be used again and again). Cant wait for the summer to come back and take the ferry across the small stretch of water.
