Owner description: Mudeford Quay is a small beautiful corner of the Borough of Christchurch in Dorset, England. Situated at the entrance of Christchurch Harbour, Mudeford Quay benefits from spectacular views along the coast, over to the Needles on the Isle of Wight & back to Christchurch town. Mudeford Quay is made up of two areas, the Quay itself and Mudeford Spit, a natural sandbank which leads to Hengisbury Head all the way to Boscombe & Bournemouth. The Quay is a hub of activity with beautiful beaches, the lush grassed area ideal for picnics and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the Quayside itself which has a small shops, a pub, a fish stall and plenty of vantage points to watch the world go by.

“Lovely views.”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

It was a proper working quay, and the ferry to lovely Hengisbury head was well worth the visit. Weather went a bit gloomy, so we went back to hotel in Mudeford, but wished we could have stayed much longer as the Head is very natural and beautiful.

“The best south coast location”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 via mobile

This car park is the best one for accessing the south coast. we just love it, you can play on the beach towards highcliffe, take the ferry to hengistbury head, eat at the restaurant or pub, both of which serve great food. You can do water sports like kayaking or windsurfing from here, going out to sea or around Christchurch harbour to Christchurch pier and up the stour or Avon rivers.

It's also perfect for crabbing or just taking a walk on a gloomy day, there's some lovely views too, from the needles to christchurch priory.

The carpark is quite pricey at peak times during weekends but it's worth it for such a great location.

“PLEASANT AFTERNOON”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Try the bar for a meal and not the cafe - it is much better and so more quaint. It also allows dogs. Perfect in the winter with 2 roaring fires and a wonderful atmosphere.
Busy weekends and in the summer.
