“Small and friendly site in beautiful setting”
Reviewed 1 September 2013

We travelled with my sons aged 5 and 6 to this beautiful country. Although extremely shocked by the general cost of things in Switzerland (be warned!) there is no doubting the quality of goods you recieve; pretty much every meal was of a very high standard and the service we received was excellent in most places. We booked through Eurocamp and the friendly reps were always available and accommodating. It is described as a 'medium' size site by Eurocamp which is nonsense, it is a small site which, for us, was just perfect as the boys had freedom to leave the caravan but without going too far. Within about a 20 walk of the site is a fantastic bridge that's worth seeing, as is (if you can) a trip to the towns of Montreux, Lucerne and Interlaken. The train trip from Interlaken to the hightest station in Europe costs an arm and a leg (CHF 190 per adult) but is worth it. Also, the thermal spa at Leukerbad is brilliant! Can highly recommend The Hotel de France in Leukerbad for dinner, super food. Being used to a more regimented, health and safety conscious culture, it was strange not to have to sign the boys in and out of the children's club (which ran from 9.30-11.30am) - they literally drifted in and out to suit themselves! This wasn't an issue as there was always someone based at our pitch but more strict parents may not be so keen on this loose arrangement....

Only real criticism is that the Eurocamp information folder could contain much more useful info and advice about the site (recycling info, shop opening, kids club etc.) and local area.

Room Tip: Eurocamp pitch number 125 is right by the children's club and a stone's throw from reception...

I had never been to Switzerland before, but so glad I an say I have now. The campsite was placed in a lovely place and the scenery was beautiful and breath taking.

I came here camping with my family, and was really stunned and loved it. The pool was a good size and the staff were very helpful. The site itself dor camping was nice and roomy. I didn't ever get anything to eat there though so can't comment on it.

Was trully beautiful. Would go again :)

Campsite located off Susten (nreaest town), in the Valais region.

Campsite is located about 5 minutes drive off the main access road, situated in the midst of a heavily wooded area.

Facilities onsite include: reasonable-sized (rectangular) pool, with adjoining small paddling pool for juniors, on-site restaurant (an bar, in high season), small shop with fresh bread (pre-order) in the morning, laundry facilities and free wi-fi within the vicinity of the restaurant. Facilities looked clean and well-maintained.

For the self-caterers, there are several supermarkets within 10-25 min drive, including Co-op at the Susten railway station, a couple in Sierre, and a large Co-op (open Sundays) just outside Visp. Just be forwarned that recycling is mandatory, and you will be asked to pay for rubbish disposal sacks.

Eurocamp accommodation was in a 3 bedroom Horizon, which was roomy and comfortable. The campsite is surrounded by lovely vistas of the neighbouring mountains, although most of the mobile homes are very closely sited together. Most of the 2 bedroom mobile homes have slightly better viewpoint aspects. In peak season, the campsite may hold live music on weekends, and you may be troubled by some distant music. Noise intrusion from neighbouring mobile homes was minimal, but I think it will depend largely on the consideration of your neighbours. There was ample scope for many activities - cycling, trekking on the trails in the close vicinity, scenic drives, or just relaxing. A short walk away is the Illgraben-Bhutan Bridge, which is suspended over the Illgraben river.

Sites nearby that we visited included the spa baths in Leukerbad, scenic drives up the Vissoie valley, inspiring viewpoints in Sion (Château de Valère) but a tough walk, pleasant forest walks in the Torrent-Neuf, nearby Martigny, and a day trip to the Matterhorn (Zermatt).

Overall, a lovely campsite in a dramatic setting.

We stayed at the Bella tola from the 31st July 2012 for 5 nights as part of a two centre trip.
if I'm honest i wasn't looking forward to the camping/ caravan bit but as we would be out most of the day exploring Switzerland it seemed the best option.
On arrival Jeff the Key-camp rep was most helpful showing us where to park and then taking us to the restaurant while he finished getting our caravan ready.
the site is nice and compact and sits among the mountains which looked fantastic. the caravan was really comfortable with plenty of room and a decked area which came in very handy.
the supermarket on site is only open a few hours a day and isn't that well stocked but the two in the village had everything you'll need.
as i said earlier we were there to explore and did every day visiting Zermatt, Saas Fee, Lake Geneva, Montreux. which were all beautiful and fantastic.
each day on our return is when the caravan came into it's own being able to relax on the decking with some nice food and wine and chill while the sun went down without having to get all dressed up for dinner. it was bliss!!! most relaxing with stunning views. our daughter played in the pool with friends she met on holiday until 8.30/9.00 it was a fantastic 5 days and we would visit again.

We flew to Milan and drove in to Switzerland, the views we breath taking! We arrived at the campsite after 8pm but the keycamp rep still made the effort of showing us to our caravan n was very welcoming! The campsite is very compact with everything where you need it! The swimming pool is very cold! Even though they say it is heated! The children's pool is a great depth 4 little ones to walk and swim! However there are small stones at the bottom so I would advice wearing shoes as our daughter cut her foot when jumping in!! The pool dose look like it needs referbing!! The restaurant is expensive, but that's.no surprise with Switzerland!! I did find the staff a little abrupt and sharp in the restaurant! this put us of going here for a meal!! The campsite is set away from the town but close enough to walk in! Its surrounded by amazing mountains! A 20min walk takes you over a swing.bridge over the river, where pray flags are hung! We took ride to lukeabad and went in the cable car up the mountain! The heat was 25oc with snow still in places! Kids found it funny playing in the snow In shorts!! Switzerland as a whole is stunning!!! But the prices at times are shocking!!!! Double or triple the prices in the UK! Take plenty of spending money!! We are looking to come to this campsite again!! Was loved by all!

This campsite is set on a hillside, 1,1/2km up a wooded road, The views are excellent looking down the velley with the alps in front and then again behind the site.stunning. we stayed in a keycamp hut which was very good, clean and well kitted out. the huts are a little close to each other but no big deal, and you park right next to your hut which saves a lot of time messing about. two sun loungers, table and chairs and a bbq for use. pool looked fine but did not use same as was the small bar by the pool. we used the restaurant once which was ok.Camp has wifi but signal only up around the pool area. location is fantastic for getting out and about in switzerland, we stayed for 5 days and visited, geneva, berne, lucerne, matterhorn, gruyeres and lausanne. quality road system so no problems. would definitely stay here again, clean air, stunning weather, stunning scenery and loved the sound of the cow bells.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at this park with eurocamp.
Cons: the on site shop which was only open for two hours in the morning 8-10 and had very limited stock (maybe I have been spoiled in the past in Italian and French sites where the shops have been much more accessible at more convienient hours?!) if you want bread you have to order it by 6.30 pm the night before....no good if you arrive after this time. There are supermarkets in Susten but if you arrive on a Sunday this is not much help!
It was very hot whilst we were there and the swimming pool and bar area was full of locals every day after school had finished, im guessing this was the only swimming pool in the immediate area, not leaving much room for people actually paying to stay on site to swim.

Pros: Good location for tourist attractions in southern Switzerland - the thermal baths at leukerbad and zermatt for the Matterhorn. We also ventured into France to Chamonix and mont blanc for the day.
We had a good sized pitch and you can park your car next to your mobile home.
Had a good Switzerland expensive £££ type meal in the restaurant, would recommend sharing as although expensive they offer good portion sizes.

To conclude probably wouldn't go back to that site but overall nice.
