We stayed at this hotel as the main stay of our Swiss holiday whilst we travelled around the area, mainly by train. The hotel is just 10 mins from the local station and up a gentle rise. We were part of a Shearings tour with around 50 of us. My partner has a walking problem as so the lift was essential. Be warned it is a bit temperamental but never let us down. The hotel is privately owned and run by the family. They did everything they could to make our stay special. We had a room overlooking the lake (Thun) with views to Interlaken and Thun. The room was recently refurbished and very comfortable. Food was limited in selection, a consequence of being with a coach party, but it was excellent and plenty enough so no one went hungry, except maybe a fussy one here or there. So what's the down side, well I think a lot of the previous reviews cover the lack of a lounge or smoke free bar area, added to this there is a need to step up the housekeeping because although the general level is good it is not great. I would definitely stay here again.
One point the hotel rooms with lake views do overlook the railway, but with lots of different types of train including the TGV and ICE train you can ignore it as they all slow down through the village.More
