“Comfortable, cosy and well equipped.”
Reviewed 18 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

An ideal base for enjoying the Norfolk Broads and surrounding area. Wifi reception excellent and there was a mobile signal too - other areas have been a little patchy. Garden delightful - a perfect place to "stand and stare". Thanks Jo and Phil

“Superb cottage in excellent location - and dog friendly too!”
Reviewed 18 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We booked the cottage for the week leading up to Easter. It was fully as described, offering superb facilites in a lovely village. All the equipment worked well, with clear instructions as to its use. The garden was reasonably-sized, fully enclosed and very tidy. Communication from the owners was clear and thorough and the welcoming pack for people and dog was a very nice touch. Thoroughly recommended.

“Cosy home comforts”
Reviewed 20 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

An extremely well equipped cottage, tastefully decorated, where everything is provided for. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The underfloor heating was an absolute triumph. The house is close to some lots of beaches and a seal colony. Perfect for days out with the kids.

“Perfect cottage in great location”
Reviewed 23 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

On arrival you realise straight away that the owners have thought of everything. Great cottage, great location. Perfect base to explore the delights of Norfolk, as well as the excellent local food & drink in the village pubs ( not forgetting the fish & chip van as well). Beaches, National Trust properties, walks, bird-watching, & great boat trip on Hickling Broad. Fully relaxed after a brilliant week.

“Excellent, Relaxing Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 8 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The cottage is superb and very relaxing. We slept really well. Everything is provided right down to relaxing music playing on entering.
Excellent kitchen utensils. The Locals/ Neighbours are really friendly.
The owners Shaun and Annie go the extra mile and even call to check all is well.
We have stayed in many cottages but by far this is the best for location, facilities within the cottage, the cottage itself and its owners.
We cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back. But for a fortnight next time.

“Excellent holiday cottage”
Reviewed 4 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A wonderful stay at Goleby's in April. The cottage was ideal for ourselves and our two dogs. They loved the underfloor heating as we did too especially since we had a sudden icy arctic blast of weather.
The area is fantastic and we loved exploring the nearby beaches and ambling around the Broads. Followed by some delicious meals in the local dog friendly pubs -The greyhound and the Pleasure Boat.
Our first visit to the area but we definitely hope to return to Goleby's Cottage again.

“Quaint ,quintessentially English Country Cottage in the perfect setting.”
Reviewed 10 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We have just returned from a perfect two weeks holiday in Goleby's Cottage. The welcome was so well thought out with gifts for us and our two dogs. A lovely bottle of wine and heart shaped treats for the dogs, along with a luxury selection of teas and coffees, biscuits, bath oils, soaps, hand and body lotions, to name a few. Chocolates and sprigs of lavender in the bedrooms too. The fresh flowers were a lovely touch and fresh water set out for our dogs was just what was needed after their journey. The attention to detail, and thoughtfulness of Annie and Sean, made us feel so at home, right from the start.
Hickling is a friendly village which is well positioned for visits to the Broads and also the wonderful beaches. We found Sea Palling beach, the best, for great walks with the dogs.
Weather was perfect too. All in all a wonderful holiday, which we will most certainly recommend.
