We had a wonderful weekend break. The Garden Room was lovely, the breakfasts were superb. Dinner was great, lovely food, everything available and was presented well. Charles works so hard to check everyone happy and his team are very friendly and helpful.
Outdoor tables overlooking the very quiet street in a fabulous location for walks onto the moor, would thoroughly recommend for a short break, not sure I could stay for more tan a few days as I would put on too much weight.

Room Tip: garden room lovely but friends in pub had lovely room with view of green.

Could be spectacular here - no competition and location beautiful but always disappointed - even when we have booked they have run out of the main item menus. Decor could be nicer too. On the whole it's average with a lovely location. Gets away with a lot because no competition. Only other pub nearby the fox and rabbit has exactly the same faults and is owned by the same family. Hopefully the tearoom in Lockton will become a bistro soon...

A wonderful little place in a stunning location. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The food is first class and the beer and wine are perfect. The full English breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. What really makes the place are Charles and his excellent team who could not do enough for us and clearly love what they do. The Horseshoe is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries and we will definitely return.

Levisham's Horseshoe Inn is an off the track beautiful countryside hotel with character. From the very beginning the staff were very friendly, accommodation clean, neat and tidy and very comfortable. Best pub food and service - all you could want. Local morning walks in the countryside. Local people chatty and helpful. Day outing to Goathland [Heartbeat, Adensfield]then to Whitby, for lunch- fish and chips of course and hop on /off bus up to the Abbey and down the steps to the town, then on to Robin Hoods Bay for a quick photo then stop off at the ancient Scarborough Castle with the best views of the coast and pm tea. Returning for dinner at the Horseshoe Inn. BRILLIANT. YORKSHIRE'S BEST KEPT SECRET - Shhhh don't tell everyone.

A very warm welcome greeted me, following a very last minute booking. Charles and the team are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. Although I had the small single room (due to my late booking), it was more than adequate - though not fully en-suite (it did have a washbasin).

A fine selection of real ales and wines, together with good country cooking was on the dinner menu. Breakfast too was more than adequate - everything well cooked and flavoursome (black pudd to die for!)

Only downside (for me) was the guest bathroom - no shower! Other than that, highly recommended.

Ok, straight in with the negatives. Bedroom perhaps updated 15 years ago, ensuite bathroom the tiniest I've ever seen. HOWEVER, stunning location, wonderful welcome, fabulous food, huge bed, super value for a weekend break.
