“Just what we needed!”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

After a longish drive and on a beautifully sunny afternoon, the garden of this quiet hotel was the perfect bonus. We sat there with a cool beer and enjoyed the last afternoon of our holiday.
Yes, the rooms are pretty small, the towels thin and quite rough, the bathroom floor very creaky but the bed was comfortable, the room perfectly clean and the food was very good - both evening meal and breakfast.
As others have said, this is perfectly placed for a 20 minute run into the ferry port.
Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes.
As I said, just what we needed - and the garden was lovely.

We were recommended this restaurant when our usual one in Ardres had been booked out for a private function....

The whole experience was excellent, we all had the set menu priced at 27€, the scallops were quite a surprise in the presentation, very original and delicious! We all enjoyed the main courses, the Duck with an orange sauce was the best I have ever eaten.... The fish and beef dishes were equally appreciated.... As was the rest of the meal.
We visit the area every few months and will definitely be going back... (An maybe to stay next time).

Thank you..... We will be recommending your delicious food to anybody we know who is visiting the area.

We have dined here several times and always enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Our recent experience was disappointing. The website menu was different from the menu when we arrived and was inferior with less choice and interest. The quality of some of the food was not up to standard. It really does not pay for restaurants to allow standards to slip. The service was very good and the attractive decor unchanged but it is the food that matters most. There are many other good places to eat in this area.

Although it's near the Channel Tunnel, there are never too many English people there - always a good sign! Well worth making a detour. We always eat there when we're in northern France, which is fairly often.

We went as a party of 4. We had a lovely meal and pleasant service. There were different priced menus to choose from or a la carte and each with good choices. The food was great and offered some more adventurous choices as well as safe. The rooms were small, but adequate, beds comfortable and very good value. Breakfast was a little disappointing as there was only bread, croissants and pastry (albeit fresh and tasty), there was no fruit, yoghurt or cheese. We would definitely go again.

The menu is limited and the food was very under seasoned.
The set menu is reasonably priced but portions are small and bread limited to one roll.

The only meat on the menu was beef bourgogne or steak apart from duck breast.
Best part were the Desserts.

I did not stay here but the food was AMAZING. We were a party of 50 having lunch while tasting wines from the local wine consultant. It was the best food I have had in a restaurant in a long time and would think about staying at the hotel just to have dinner! The staff were very helpful and friendly so I would think the hotel would be just as good as the restaurant!
