Owner description: Boursot's Wine Collection is a specialist wine seller offering French wines at all levels upwards from £3 a bottle. Personal service and good advice, together with the option to try many wines prior to deciding, make this a "must visit" attraction. Boursot's second shop is in Marquise between Calais and Boulogne. boursot

We went to Boursot's for the first time today from Leatherhead, Surrey. It was a great day out and we heard so much about Boursot's and we were not disappointed. The owner, Guy, couldn't be more helpful and we tasted many wines before our purchase. We definitely will make this trip again, but not for a while because of the quantities we brought back from us! Yum! We also ate across the street and had a delightful meal. Restaurant Le Francais 1er. FINE day out. It doesn't take long to get a totally nice day out in France..... Fab.

The most amazing wine shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The knowledge, enthusiasm coupled with their vast array of wines is amazing.
The times I have visited have been an adventure. Guy almost dares you to engage in conversation about wines. It is so evident he is passionate about them ans so willing to share his vast knowledge.
The value, outstanding. You come away having been educated in a very polite way
Just a few Kms. from Calais. The village and the store are hidden gems.

I would not dream of returning from a trip to France without making the pilgrimage to Ardres to plunder the wonderful stock at Boursot's. Yes, you can buy wine in supermarkets but who do you find to talk to about it before you pay out your hard-earned cash. No-one. But at Boursot's Guy is more often than not on hand to answer your queries and help you make your selections. Whether you are buying cheap or expensive you will receive the same amount of amiable attention. Not only that, you get the chance to sample what you are buying. So, whether you are buying for an everyday quaffer or for a special occasion, Boursot's will have it covered. They also organise gastronomic feasts for wine lovers, although I have yet to take advantage of them.

Excellent service from well informed Guy the owner & friendly staff in a warm, welcoming shop.
Great choice of wines and available to try too. We've been visiting this shop for the last three years or so and will continue to do so. Selection of gifts available too. Informative monthly newsletters with links to ferry crossing offers. Keep it up!

This is a great place to go - they have a wide range of quality and affordable wine that you won't find in the supermarkets. The shop is in an old building full of character, and Guy Boursot and his staff are really friendly and give excellent advice in English. We have bought wine there numerous times, and although you can pop across the channel for the day, we use it as an excuse to spend the night in some of the nearby chateaus.
And to top it off Ardres is a charming French village in contrast to the light industrial, port town of Calais - it's a no brainer!
