We spent a great weekend in this hotel. It is a good place, modern, looks good, clean, nice food, polite staff, big wellness part, lot of pool and sauna, etc.
Bad: in the room you can not use the wireless Internet network. Just in the hall.

We spent the New Years Eve period at the Colosseum Hotel. Its architecture is amazing. I really liked the way everything was centered in a circle.
First let me say that our room was great with a huge balcony. Ok, we didn't really have any use of it since there were minus degrees outside but still a big balcony is always nice to have. We stayed 4 nights but the maids never once came to clean our room. We had to find them and give the trash to them and then ask for paper and stuff. It was weird but obviously the hotel was fully booked for the holiday so they must have had all hands full.
The food was delicious and the chef is very nice, always being there for every meal making sure everything was in place. At a certain point we were wondering if he ever got to go home from his job or that maybe he lived in the hotel... He was so nice to our 4 year old daughter who would only eat one kind of cake and was complaining that there was none served that night. The chef heard her and went to the kitchen to get some especially for her. That was a gesture I will not easily forget. Thank you!
The lunch was served in the hotel bar which is located in the center of the building and it is a large space with an extremely high ceiling so I can imagine it must be hard to heat it, but the temperature there was freezing. After coming out of the thermal bath and with a small child it was really not pleasant. Although you only get to chose from 2 varieties of food for lunch, it was always delicious and children eat for free.

Now to the spa... we realized that the hotel had only a small spa, they never say they don't but a big plus was that they advertised that you could enter free of charge the Erzsébet Spa, using a closed corridor that leads right to it. Erzsébet Spa is a quite big place with many swimming pool (lots of them small though), slides, warm water. Great place. But we had 2 problems with it:

1. It was school holiday and they had some special offer for children so the spa was extremely crowded with kids jumping all over the place. We didn't see the point in staying there longer than 30 minutes. I don't know how crowded it is on a normal weekday or weekend, it might be better.
2. We called beforehand especially to make sure the closed corridor existed and that we did not have to dress to get to the Erzsébet Spa. We said explicitly we were coming with a child and it is important for us. The hotel said we should not worry. Well there is a "closed" corridor, but its walls are made out of plastic elements, and not only there is no heating in it, but outside doors were open all the time. This means that we had to walk (more like run for your life) in the minus degrees with a small child from a warm spa into another warm spa in bating suits and partially wet robes along a long-long corridor. We only did it once and we are extremely grateful that nobody got sick but afterwards we stuck to the small spa in the hotel. Not so much to do in there though... This was a really big disappointment. Had we known the real situation, we would have probably not booked this hotel. We wanted a nice spa holiday and we ended up getting a very small spa holiday.

The hotel has also a nice playing room for children with many toys but no animators. Still, most kids can play by themselves. My daughter spent there quite a lot of time.

And a small observation regarding the new years' party... I give it, the majority of the guests were Hungarian, but we got to know a few foreign families as well. The staff must have known that there are people in the hotel who don't speak Hungarian. I'm not saying they should have translated the whole show into English but when they called the bingo numbers and sometimes nobody answered, they should have figured it out that people might not understand which numbers are called and thus miss their prices.

I would not call this hotel average because we had a great time (even though I had high fever in the last two days - unfortunately I am quite sensitive to AC heating). I'm just saying they should pay more attention to their guests and promise less, deliver more.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the outside the hotel. The inner rooms have windows that open to the inside of...

I was very satisfied with everything. It is possible to go to the Spa (it is included in the price). There are saunas, pools for the children, massage and so on. We ordered only breakfast and dinner and they were enough for a day so we didn't order lunch. The superior room was also beautiful and well equipped.

I live an hour and a half drive from Morahalom. After hearing a lot of nice comments from the people who spent a day in Szent Erzsébet Spa, we decided to spend a medical spa weekend in this hotel, and we did not regret. Big rooms, modern bathrooms (big, too), pleasant staff, excellent Hungarian kitchen (first dinner, catfish in lemon sauce was excellent), good connection with the main spa. Nice town with pleasant surrounding for a morning walk through fields. Very good cost effectiveness.

Fantastic hotel; i am recommending it to anyone. The installations, the cleaniness, the staff, the food, all 5 star experience. The rooms are nice, and spa area is very complex and of course you have the thermal spa just next to it, so a relaxing holiday is guaranteed. I went with my big family, three generations and we all enjoyed ourselves. The hotel and the spa is very much child friendly so if you have a child this hotel is a must in Hungary.
