We have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. Tracey and Alex are excellent hosts, pleasant, friendly and attentive. The home cooked food is very good and the bedrooms comfortable and stylish. This B and B has a pleasant and informal style supported by hard-working and well organised hosts. We will certainly stay here again.

away for the week end with family, we stayed 2 nights at this brilliant B+B.
What a good find.
Tucked away in the countyside, no major roads close bye, so no traffic noise- total tranquility!
Good quality sleep, in extremley comfortable beds.
Own lounge/dinning room in modern part of the house, looking out over garden and far reaching country views.
Choice of breakfast.High quality cooked breakfast, with ingredients locally sourced where possible. Tasty eggs from local butcher!
This is an ideal place to escape from the crowds/noise of city life.

A warm greeting.
Owners Alex and Tracey are a very friendly and relaxed couple, creating a very special "feel" to the place.
Nothing too much trouble, even a creeking door in our room that needed attention late evening.
Alex had the job done within minutes of asking!!.

Can highly recommend the on site Reflexology -contributed to a perfect week end away.

Stayed in the summerhouse at the timber stone after a last minute decision to book a weekend away. The B&B is set in beautiful Shropshire countryside but was still pretty easy to get to. Tracey and Alex were amazing hosts, and we instantly took to their gorgeous dogs, muppet and boots, and their cute little cat, marmite! The summerhouse itself is situated at the bottom of the garden and was very well presente, and as it was set away from the main house, very peaceful! There was a decked seating area outside - great for chilling out with a book. Inside was surprisingly spacious - bedroom with a good sized double bed and sofa, ensuite with shower and a small 'kitchenette' with a microwave, fridge (with fresh milk not awful UHT rubbish), tea, coffee, biscuits, utensils etc.

The main house itself is beautiful inside and out, and although we didn't see the rooms I would imagine they were of the same high standard as the summerhouse. We also noticed that the B&B have a sauna and a treatment room just next to the house which we didn't use, but thought was a nice touch.

We arrived late evening and as this B&B offer dinner as well as breakfast, we decided to eat there instead of rushing to find a restaurant. There was a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts. We ended up dining with some other guests which meant that pretty much all of the food offered was sampled and every one of us commented on how good the food was - easily on par with a lot of good restaurants I've visited - and the best lemon tart I've ever had! There was also an extensive wine and cocktail list to choose from (didn't try the wine but the cocktails I had were fab!).

After a very restful sleep we were looking forward to breakfast and this also didn't disappoint - varied menu offering anything from a full English to huevos rancheros! The other guests recommended the full English - which my parter had and fully enjoyed. I had eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros which were both excellent, and some lovely fresh mint tea.

Would definitely (and already have!) recommend this B&B - clean, well presented, beautifully situated, fantastic food, good facilities and lovely hosts.

Thanks again for a fantastic stay (and thanks for returning the sunglasses!) and we will definitely be visiting again!

Our stay at Timberstone was outstanding. Welcomed with a pot of tea, the hospitality continued through our two day stay. We enjoyed two wonderful evening meals, and nothing was too much trouble. Without doubt, the best B and B we have ever stayed in. Our sincere thanks to Tracey and Alex.

This was our 4th visit to Timberstone and we were again treated to a great home from home welcome by Alex and Tracey. The rooms are lovely and beds comfortable, the eco touches like solar heated water add to the feel good rural experience, and the food is amazing (don't miss the eggs benedict at breakfast). You can walk from the house to Titterstones for lovely views or go further afield to experience the huge variety of Shropshire landscapes. Nearby Ludlow is also an interesting town with a good weekend market and thriving festival scene (food, drama).
