The only reason it has taken me so long to write this is because we had a few personal issues to deal with when we came home, otherwise I would have been on here long ago, shouting to the world about what a great place this is to stay. I have never felt sufficiently moved to put up a review before, so that shows you what a fabulous place it is! Alex and Tracy are lovely hosts; nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious and the welcome warm and inviting. The couple put up with our somewhat unique sense of humour - we had an absolute ball, particularly on the last night of our stay when they joined us and the other guests for a drink. It was like visiting friends, albeit ones who could cook up a storm and make copious cups of tea. The next time we are in Shropshire, we will be heading back to Timberstone - IF they'll have us!

Room Tip: We had the Clay room which had a balcony and lovely views as well as a free standing bath in the room. Bed is soft which initially worried me as I have a bad back but for the first time in ages I woke up pain free.

My sister and I spent one night with Tracy and Alex whilst spending time in this area. We had a very warm welcome with a large pot of tea and biscuits. We were shown to our lovely room which was extremely comfortable with a lovely modern en suite and complimentary natural products. This was in fact a family suite (pictured) which was large enough to incude a king size bed, single bed and a sofa which became a double sofa bed. Ideal for a family of five. The breakfast menu was extensive but we chose a very generous Shropshire breakfast using local produce. Nothing was too much trouble for this couple and we will definitely return again and hope to try the evening menu which looked delicious.

Room Tip: The family room was very quiet

We only stayed 2 nights with Tracey and Alex, but it was long enough to recognise that this is an excellent place to stay in a quiet and secluded location just 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Ludlow. The rooms were very comfortable and the food excellent. Tracey and Alex were fab hosts, nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to staying with them again.

What an absolutely amazing find. We attended the Ludlow Food & Wine Festival at the weekend to celebrate our 50th Birthday with our close friends and we were lucky to have found this amazing Bed & Breakfast. Although in the USA I think they would call it a luxurious retreat. They have 4 Rooms in the main house, we had 3 of them and we also had the Summer House, which was down a little path away from the main house. Everything was amazing. The couple could not do enough for us, they even drove into town on Sunday morning to get us the Sunday Papers! Need I say more. The breakfast Menu was like a 5 Star Hotel, fresh fruit, with berries, and selection of yoghurt's, every kind of bread, continuous hot pots of tea and coffee, and to follow cooked fresh, everything from a normal full breakfast, to Eggs Benedict with fresh hollandaise sauce, to Spanish omelettes to Mexican breakfast. They even gave one of us a lift into town because the cab company could only supply a seven seater. If you need accommodation in this area, you definitely will not be able to find a better place. They are also fully licensed, so when we got back Saturday night we had a lovely bottle of red to finish off our evening.Even the Cat and Dog were adorable! Hope to visit again soon.

We stayed here for our anniversary and the only thing I can say about it is perfect! There is nothing we could fault about this B&B. The couple who run the B&B did everything they could to make this stay a very special one. Although set in a quiet location it's only a 5 minute drive from Ludlow town. Ludlow is a charming town that still retains a lot of original Tudor buildings. There is a nice walk around the castle which takes you down to the river.
The room was very homely, very good size and retains all its original features and charm. As the rooms in the main house had their own seperate entrance it didnt feel like we were staying in somebody's home. The B&B also has a large, well kept garden area and wonderful views of the countryside. The breakfast menu had a large cooked selection as well as cereals and fruits, which used local produce. Highly recommend you pay a visit to this B&B.
