Rather than remark about Timberstone B & B it would be better to speak about how highly we thought of Alex and Tracey - the owners..
Two extremely hardworking partners who have given their time and love to Timberstone and are now sharing this same attention with their guests.
Tracey is a genius with the food and all future guests should consider eating their evening dinner here. Ludlow abounds with many top-class restaurants. Why go to Ludlow stay in at Timbersone and be assailed with good food, good companions and an extensive wine list that will enhance the gourmet experience.
We have had a wonderful stay and will definitely look to return again in the near future.
Thank you Tracey and Alex.

I am not usually a B&B person as i find the quality of bed and breakfasts in England quite poor. But I have to say this was an excellent stay. Tracey and Alex truly make you feel welcome, the rooms are big and clean and made up to very high standards. The breakfast is wonderful too. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone visiting Ludlow/Shropshire. An ideal place for hiring out with your family too as there are 4 rooms and 4 bathrooms. Really very good indeed.

Our visit started with a welcome cup of tea. The service we received throughout our short stay was of a very high standard and always friendly. The room was lovely and given the location in the countyside the views were great. Do have an evening meal during your stay as it was of a very high standard and no worries about having to drive home! There was nothing we didn't like. It's a short drive from Ludlow so if you're looking for a quiet relaxing stay, beautiful coutryside views, warm friendly hosts and great food I'd suggest you stay here.

"Bread and breakfast" is a misnomer as the hosts now serve first rate dinners also.
Premise comprise a beautifully restored and somewhat expanded cottage in lovely surroundings
The owners could not have been more welcoming and thoughtful and the meals and drinks selection were really excellent
Only (minor) criticism was that our mattress was on the hard side!

Jane and I first stayed at Timberstones for the 2007 Ludlow festival. We have been going to the festival for a number of years and stayed in various B&B/Guesthouses in the area. Timbertstones is the only accomodation that we have been back to having stayed there again this June.
Why did we go back?
Two hosts, Tracey & Alex who cannot do enough for you; rooms that are impeccable in the layout and decoration; the surrounding contryside; the feeling of bliss when you wake up and see the dawn coming over the Clee hills and the sun spreading across your room through the open doors onto the balcony, knowing that shortly you will be enjoying one of Traceys amazing breakfasts with home made bread and preserves with Alex doing a great job with local produce over the stove. Even the two boys that Tracey & Alex have are a treat with one of them making us an unexpected gift at breakfast! (It helps if you can make paper aeroplanes!).
The first year we stayed the property was in a state of flux with building work going on ( a ground exchange heater for hot water?!) and an extension to the property in the first stages. Even so the stay was a good one.
This years stay was even better with Tracey now cooking evening meals to request and a wine list that Alex has bought in using his knowledge of the wine trade.
Would we stay again? A resounding yes. We have even booked a weekend in October this year and we have booked ahead for the festival next summer. I cannot reccomend a stay more highly than that.
