A great place to eat.
The Place: You can eat at the more casual bar area or in the restaurant. We ate at the latter. Very sweet, old fashioned decoration. Especially cosy for a cold autumn day.
The Food: Was great. We tried the lobster bisque and for mains we had game and fish. Everything was fresh and well made. I had a dietary restriction and they were great about meeting my need.
The service: I loved it. The chef opened the place over 50 years ago. He is originally from France. His wife helps serve the food and, according to my understanding, is in charge of deserts. The daughter was our waitress and was charming, friendly and knowledgable. The chef came to our table to chat with us. While we were there, another chef was there with his family dining. Always a good sign.
Bottom line: A gem of a place. Good solid food and very nice service.
