“Wonderful food, family run, warm service”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

A great place to eat.
The Place: You can eat at the more casual bar area or in the restaurant. We ate at the latter. Very sweet, old fashioned decoration. Especially cosy for a cold autumn day.
The Food: Was great. We tried the lobster bisque and for mains we had game and fish. Everything was fresh and well made. I had a dietary restriction and they were great about meeting my need.
The service: I loved it. The chef opened the place over 50 years ago. He is originally from France. His wife helps serve the food and, according to my understanding, is in charge of deserts. The daughter was our waitress and was charming, friendly and knowledgable. The chef came to our table to chat with us. While we were there, another chef was there with his family dining. Always a good sign.
Bottom line: A gem of a place. Good solid food and very nice service.

“Assiette du jour excellent”
Reviewed 14 July 2013

Just been at Chez Chibrac for Sunday lunch where we both had the assiette du jour priced at 18 CHF per person. For a starter you receive a delicious vegetable soup along with a bread basket. This is followed by a simple green salad with dressing and croutons. The main was a baked tomato stuffed with sausage meat together with a meat sauce and penne pasta. The food is simple but underlying this simplicity is the ability to season and flavour and make the simple great. I wish we had discovered this restaurant earlier in our visit to Switzerland.
Closed Sunday evening and on Monday.

“Well deserved reputation”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

Had dinner in La Pinte, the more casual part of the restaurant. The carte offers several dishes served in the formal dining room as well as Swiss regional specialties like cheese fondue. The food was excellent, the service friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

This family run establishment takes pride in what they serve. Their Fish Soup as well as the Bouillabaisse is excellent and the Roux is superb.
Nice atmosphere and good service.
