“Wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 10 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We stayed at Willow Cottage for a short break over the New Year period.
The owners had made their cottage feel very festive with a lovely Christams Tree.
The lounge is very cosy and the big wood burner kept us warm though the evenings.
It was nice to have a separate dining room with a large table and the kitchen had everything you would expect from a modern kitchen.
You could really get a feel for the age of the cottage in the upstairs bedrooms. Both rooms were very comfortable particularly the beds. We struggled to get up in the mornings having slept so well! Also great to have a lovely modern en suite attached to the main bedroom.
Over all a lovely cottage and in a wonderful part of Suffolk. Owners made us feel very welcome with a delicious cake and a bottle of fizz for the New Year celebrations.
We would love to return in the summer for a longer break.
Only feedback would be to suggest a Wifi connection. As business owners we would need access over Wifi on a longer break but realise this may be difficult due to age of cottage and location.

“Willow Cottage was a pretty cottage, well furnished with a ideal garden for children and adults alike”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We enjoyed a family holiday using all of the properties on site, ie Willow Cottage and the two chalets. The garden provided a wonderful area for the children to explore and to play ball games. Willow Cottage itself was very well appointed with everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and a fab shower downstairs. The furnishings and curtains really suited the cottage. We loved it.
Penny had made us loads of shortbread which we enjoyed. How kind.
The location was great for exploring the castles at Framlingham and Orford. Southwold beach made a lovely day out for swimming in the sea, digging in the sand and going on the pier. The post mill at Saxtead provided really good views and great excitement when it changed direction slightly while we were in it!

“Another lovely visit.”
Reviewed 9 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Enjoyed our second visit to the cottage with our dog Maisie, who loved the garden. The cottage was, as before, welcoming and comfortable.

“Great short break”
Reviewed 27 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just back from our 2nd visit to Willow Cottage this year. A delicious cake was waiting when we arrived and, as before, the cottage was perfect. Lovely walks with our two small dogs and plenty of room to relax after days out. We will be back!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Penny and Nick were great hosts and the homemade cakes were very much appreciated. We plan to revisit as soon as possible!

“Lovely place to stay”
Reviewed 18 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed in Willow Cottage for a long weekend with another couple and found it a perfect base for 2 couples to enjoy the Suffolk countryside and Coast. A lovely cake was there on our arrival and everything that we needed including a log fire just needing to be lit. Framlingham is a short drive away and a lovely town to look around. We also visited Sutton Hoo and Jimmys Farm in one day and Aldeburgh and Southwold on another. All about 30 to 40 minutes away. Lambing had just started during our visit and Penny invited us to see the new borns...a lovely end to our holiday. We can recommend the DanicingGoat in for a lunch, Aldeburgh chips are a must (always a queue for these) and Mr Chans chinese was good.
