We stayed here for a city break weekend, this is an amazing hotel with staff to match. It is close to the European Parliament, making it relatively quiet at the weekends which in our case was ideal. Perfectly located for all attractions, we walked everywhere during the day but transport links here are easily accessible and frequent if you wish to go back/return into the central square in the evening. Neither of us could fault the hotel from the welcome we got when we arrived to our departure. We had an amazing room, spacious, clean and light. We slept each night with the windows open which was a preference rather than a requisite ( air conditioning is installed) and even though the World Cup was on, the traffic noise was non existent.
The bathroom had a walk in shower with instant hot water, soft towels, hair dryer and toiletries. The beds were very comfortable affording a relaxing nights sleep so as to enjoy the superb breakfast served in the Orangerie with the glass roof, hanging baskets and quirky ornaments making it a comfortable space rather than a sterile dining room found in most hotels, the variety of the buffet changes every day, no one hurries you and staff are on hand should something run out.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff on duty, they will supply you with a map with suggested walking routes to get the maximum from this city, the girls on the desk are a mine of information, and what one does not know they will go all out to find out an answer to your question.
Brussels is a warm and vibrant city with great shopping plus bijoux coffee/chocolate shops down small roads which the easiest way to find these is just to get lost and wander, there are plenty of sign posts to places of interest and the friendly people will always help with directions.
Having read some of the reviews on here I am sure some people forget that as like all cities people live and work here, it's not just a Tourist Attraction, and as for the hotel, have you really stayed here?
I would have no hesitation in passing on my recommendation for the hotel or the city.
