Hotel Beverly Hills
Ranked #11 of 15 Hotels in Ixelles
Reviewed 16 November 2012

Small hotel, close to Avenue Louise and about a twenty minute walk to the European Parliament.
I normally stay around Place du Luxemburg, but this week all the hotels there were priced at from 250 to 300 euros per night -- way too expensive. I booked the Beverly Hills hotel based on location and price -- I was quoted 99 euros including breakfast on bookings.com.
Hotel is easy to find, and staff friendly. The room I got was tiny, just big enough for a bed and a small wall-mounted TV. Small ensuite shower room was adequate, and clean. Bed was reasonably comfortable but pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.
Breakfast was basic but ok, self service but attended by a young lady who was very pleasant and efficient. Staff in general were all very helpful and friendly, and the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout.
Not the fault of the hotel, but it is situated on a junction and early morning traffic revs up when stopping and starting, and sometimes drivers sound their horns when meeting other traffic. I was woken at 5.00 a.m by two drivers shouting at each other and blowing horns, and later on other drivers also blew horns at the junction. Better glazing might help.
The hotel barely merits three stars, but I would not rule out using it again if I had to. However I will continue to look around for a suitable alternative to the over-priced hotels close to the Parliament; I think that the Beverly Hills is not the alternative option that I am looking for.
By the way, when checking out the bill had expanded from 99 euro to almost 104 euro, but I was tired and busy and didn't query the reason for this inflation. Not a good way of getting repeat business I would suggest.

Room Tip: In another hotel, maybe ;-)

I stayed at the hotel only for one night. Comparing with other 3 star hotels in Brussels the price was quiet reasonable and the location, although in the near vicinity of a shopping area, was very quiet. Rooms are small, but that's what you are paying for! The breakfast can be improved a lot!

i stayed here last weekend and had a very nice 3 night stay
the hotel is around 15-20mins walk from the central station although a lot of it is uphill and plenty of cobbles to beware if you have wheeled suitcase

arrived at hotel and was greeted by friendly staff who informed me i was staying in the annex which is located about 20yards away

the room i had was a small single but had plenty of room for me , bed was a single but ample for my 6ft 3 frame
room had a TV ( with BBC1/BBC2) also a fan / desk / shelves for clothes etc , only disappointment is that no tea/coffee facilities

i was in room 508 overlooking the street although not really a view was quiet at night , intercom access to annex is 24/7 just press button and ask for your room , lift also there if not on ground floor

breakfast was served in main hotel and was the usual breakfast items cereals / pastries / cold meats / fruit as well as tea / coffee / orange juice

room was cleaned everyday to top standard fresh linen and towels provided

all in all i would stay here again as good value for money , just be aware of the 4.50eur city tax as i booked through HOTELS.COM and was charged this by hotel even though it says on website all fees are included , wasnt going to argue though as still got a great price

rooms on small side and had to move as the building across the way is under reconstruction (July 12) and they start hammering around 8am plus ppl getting to the lift at 4. 30am woke me up too… got a quiet room after paying another « upgrade » charge… person in the breakfast room hardly welcoming and they dont refill the buffet when things run out. location is good and the place is clean though.

Hotel is easy to find. Rooms are standart. WiFi is good at the reception area and may be weak in some rooms. #501 has low signal. But everyone was friendly and willing to help. Would gladly stay there again. Oh and I think it was a very good value.
