Not much to say. My experience with luxury hotels is a 5 star resort and a couple of 4 stars. Sofitel easily tops them all.

Amazing rooms, amazing rain-shower, amaaaazing bed and pillows, amazing (scented!) hotel, extensive amenities, super-quite room. What can I say.. they even fold the toilet paper to make a little triangle at the end.

Our stay included a weekend rate, and an early booking discount and was an incredible bargain (about 110 euros per night for a Luxury room).

We never had breakfast so I cannot comment - if you are into sweets you can have breakfast at Haagen, just around the corner.

I only stayed here for one night but was impressed. The decor of the whole hotel is very modern and contemporary. The room was gorgeous - again modern with plenty of space, a very comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom with everything that you could need. The breakfast was buffet style but lots of choice and a very good standard. The service was great. There is also a funky bar in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Brussels.

We stayed at the Sofitel Le Louise on Valentine's weekend. The hotel was easy to find and in a good location for exploring all the many sights that Brussels has to offer. The room really was fantastic; it was so clean that you felt that you were the first person to use it and had everything you would require for a trip away and more. Everything was finished to the highest quality in a sleek modern design. We particularly loved the comfy bed, the fabulous shower and the espresso machine.

We dined in the hotel once and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious and really negated the need for any lunch. Warm pastries were delivered to your table and the fresh juices were superb. I have only one complaint and unfortunately it does reduce the rating to a 4. On our second morning, we arrived for breakfast and the relatively small breakfast room was full. There was another couple in front of us and the waiter insisted that we all go and take a seat in the lounge where they would bring us coffee and let us know when a table was available. The other couple's table was ready almost immediately but our coffee never arrived and unfortunately we were forgotten. By this time the queue was stretched across the foyer and despite reminders it took an hour before we were seated for breakfast. We would have been more than happy to stand in a queue and would have been seated within 10 minutes but the waiter insisted we wait elsewhere.

This was a shame on our last morning but it was clear they were not used to dealing with such a high number of guests at one time. Overall though, an extremely good stay.

This hotel provides the utmost in comfort and service. The entire staff is friendly and helpful without being the least bit pushy; every desire from its guests is met with enthusiasm and immediate attention. The rooms are small (by American standards) but very well laid out and quite sufficient to meet the needs of the business or pleasure traveler alike. The rooms' best feature is the shower, which sports a ceiling shower head about 10 inches in diameter and plenty of room to move in and out of its wonderful rain-like downpour, the degree and temperature of which is easily regulated. The next best feature is the bed, whose comfort certainly matches that of any of the high-priced mattresses available today. Together with the down comforter, it's like sleeping in the clouds. The complimentary breakfast buffet provides a wide variety of fresh and delicious breakfast foods, enough to satisfy even the most discriminating of appetites. The bar is modern, very intimate and relaxing, and it provides a good variety of beverages and dinner food, although the availability of restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel is vast and varied. All in all, this hotel offers everything a typical business or pleasure traveler could wish for. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking the utmost in comfort and service.

I've stayed in several Sofitels in different countries over the years and they always live up to my expectations, but this is definitely one of the best (along with the newer Sofitel in Luxembourg I've stayed in which was also fabulous). There are actually 3 Sofitels in Brussels, but the Avenue Louise hotel is the latest to be upgraded and undergo a total refurbishment and it's also in the best location in the city. I chose it on Expedia because it's in a nice area of Brussels, reasonably safe, loads of trendy designer boutiques and department stores and the Louise metro station is just a few stops from Midi station where the Eurostar trains depart from. The metro and tram stops are just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. When I checked in, the hotel had only been open for 4 months and it looks fantastic. The entire lobby area and the Crystal bar and restaurant look stunning. The staff here were welcoming and helpful. I stayed with a friend in a well-equiped twin bed room, complete with lovely Hermes designer toiletries (the Hermes boutique is actually across the street from the hotel), a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and teas and a big flat screen TV set. The beds were REALLY comfortable. The only thing that was confusing was how to use the new cordless phone! Never worked it out. The coffee maker was tricky to work properly at first, but after a few attempts, we finally got it! There is a 24 hour gym in the hotel, but no health club or spa, which is disappointing, but the delicious cocktails in the Crystal bar and the nice surroundings made up for that. Next time I am in Brussels, I will probably stay here again.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Very modern and stylish.... dark wood grain... soft lighting.

I was in a classic room which was amazing. 32" panasonic LCD tv, very comfortable king size bed... beautiful bathroom with rain shower (the shower head is about as big as a dinner place and is affixed to the roof in the shower, not the wall).... Hermes toiletries.

The location is also excellent. 250m from Louise Metro station which is 3 stops from Gare Midi (where the Eurostar is at).

Wireless internet is available for 9.95EURO for 24 hours. quite a good price when considering how much some hotels charge.

Stayed in this Hotel over the past weekend and found everything to be absolutely perfect. We had a classic room which was perfect everything 5 star.
The service in the hotel is tops
The Chrystal Room offers a wonderful bar with and dining.
Location is in one of the nicest areas of Brussels surrounded by designer shops.
Brussels has a lot to offer for a weekend break. Also good communication to other Belgian cities, Gent is definitely worth a vist.
