My husband and I stayed at the Vintage hotel in Brussels at the end of October while visiting my sister and her husband who live in the city.

Location
We chose the location as it worked well for us - it was the half-way point between their house and the city, which meant we could walk in both directions. However if this wasn't the case, I am not sure I would recommend this location unless you really want to shop during your time in Brussels and you don't stay here on a Sunday. This area is extremely quiet on a Sunday with all the shops closed for business.

The hotel
This is a fun quirky hotel and it is good value for money. However we had too many issues to rate the hotel more than 3 out of 5, especially after seeing a mouse downstairs one night after going out for dinner! I tried to take a photo, but it was too quick for me - I could not imagine staying at a hotel with mice again.

The room
The room is quirky as the hotel and nice enough, except for the fact that it's TINY (smaller than our rooms in London and Paris) and although the bathroom is the same size as the room (seriously) it's mostly empty space with the tiniest shower I have ever used. It also get's very good at night and there is NO way to change the temperature in the room, as it's controlled only for the overall hotel, which made it very difficult to sleep.

Breakfast
This is probably the best part of the stay and very good value for money, although no eggs are on offer.

Service
Service is lovely, although they don't help you with your bags and as we were on the 3rd floor, we had to use the lift, which is also TINY. We had to go up one at a time to get our bags to the room (and the bags then did not fit and we had to keep one in the bathroom!).
The people are helpful and friendly, this isn't the hotel's issue.

Overall we would not stay here again and would not recommend, unless you really are looking for a cheaper option.

Room Tip: Our room was number 36 and it had a much bigger bathroom plus a balcony. We would recommend this roo...

This is a clean, cool and friendly hotel that is great value for money.

I stayed 2 nights with a friend, our twin room was very spacious, and included a free safe. The shower was very powerful and warm and the bathroom in general was big and clean. The only negative about the room was that the lighting in the main room was a bit dim, this was all part of the effect to give a 'vintage' look but practically was a bit annoying. Having said that the bathroom was well lit and the room was by no means dark.

Breakfast was really good, lots of choice, cereals, tea and coffee, fresh bread and cheeses and hams including cured Spanish ham, lots of fresh fruit and yohurts...more than enough choice for anyone.

The location was great, some good bars and restaurants within a minutes walk. Shopping nearby and only a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Brussels.

I would definitely recommend...really nice hotel and excellent value for money.

I've been there with my boyfriend and I was positively impressed by its REAL, clean vintage style. Even if room are not so big are still very comfortable and nice. Located near the center of the town, surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants and with a kind and smiley staff, it is a very nice place to stay when you're in Bruxelles.

The Vintage Hotel is situated in the middle of different nice quarters as St. Gilles and close to a big street with international shops. Nevertheless it is calm. The breakfast buffet is rich, the people working there are uncomplicated, and we liked the seventies style very much. This hotel is furnished with taste. And all that for 70 to 80 Euro: it's really worth the price.

spent a night in this hotel with our family of late teen/early 20s and we all loved the 70's feel, great service, excellent breakfast, and good location. Only 15 minutes walk to the Grand Place, and just a 10 Euro taxi ride from the Bruxelles Midi train station the location avoids the crowds whilst still being close enough to the centre.

This is a quirky hotel - silver trailer in courtyard at entrance. Rooms very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel. Breakfast was excellent - choice of fruit, cereals, cold meats etc. Very good. Car parking was easy. Underground secure park just opposite €15 per night. Doesn't open until 7 30 am in morning if you are planning an early start - but the hotel offers a slightly more expensive option. Convenient for shopping on Avenue Louise and the great restaurants around Eglise Saint Boniface.

Room Tip: Ask for room at back - we didn't but it wasn't a problem

Traveling alone, staying one night on a weekend, this hotel was an great choice. The location, the breakfast, the staff, the shower, the bed... all excellent. You're close to one of the main shopping areas (avenue Louise / place Stéphanie) and within walking distance to the centre (Sablon) and the Marolles. I guess, as a couple, the double bed room I had (n° 17) could be a little small, especially the bathroom area. But maybe the other rooms are bigger. I did not really like the open metal closet just next to my bed, and the lack of air-conditionning was an issue, since it was exceptionally hot that day (28°). The free water-bottle was good to have, since there's no mini-bar. All in all, the price was really fantastic for what you get. I would definitely go back and recommend the hotel.

Bonjour,
