Stayed last weekend for 1 night, including breakfast.
We are in Brussels every 3-4 weeks and we have tried at least 10-12 different 4-5* hotels over the years in this city. For the price we paid we both thought it was good value.
It was exactly what we expected (actually a bit better) and we would return if the price was right.
It wasn't all perfect but we really enjoyed our stay.

- Staff : very friendly, we have stayed at a few different NH hotels and like in most of them, also here they have many Spanish staff members. We felt very welcome and they all acted professional (and customer orientated, even after a little misunderstanding about the checkout bill).

- Room : Clean, contemporary and with comfortable twin beds (even though I requested a king bed). Old t.v. (but who cares?) with even 5 Flemish channels (very rare in Brussels, I can tell you!). Some wear and tear but nothing too bad. NO double glazed windows (some condense problems) but at least they could be opened (also not that obvious these days). Some mold around the windows (a good clean is needed). Nice to arrive in a room that was not over-heated for a change (very important to us!). Small but very clean bathroom and with nice quality towels and the typical NH products (that smell rather nice).

- Hotel overall : Not the nicest entrance (dark and hidden away) but very clean and well looked after once inside. Nice breakfast area with daylight which is nice. One remark: the air perfume in the corridors is HORRIBLE and it almost made me vomit (but the smell didn't enter our room).

- Breakfast : Very good, not the largest choice on the warm side but good enough. Very nice bacon (better that the Radisson Blu bacon!). Mushrooms were not nice (slimy, I think they were dried mushrooms). Nice juices, nice pastries, large choices of cheeses and cold cuts and nice coffee (a machine but with freshly ground beans). Nicely sliced fresh fruits and decent choice of cereals.

- Free wifi and it worked quiet well. Most NH hotels offer breakfast on Sundays till noon, which is nice and they also offer a complimentary late check out on Sundays (also think is a nice touch).

When we return to Brussels in a few weeks time we will consider staying again (depending on the offers of our other favorites). If you are in doubt about staying at the NH Stephanie or an the nearby Mercure Louise (where we stayed 3 weeks ago) I would recommend to choose the NH (while both hotels are often similarly priced, there is really NO comparison between these 2 hotels, both in breakfast and customer service)!!

Room Tip: We asked for a high room (for loads of daylight).

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback on your stay in NH Stéphanie. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and we also appreciate a lot to receive details about our points of improvment.

I am happy to tell you that a lot of our improvements planned for 2014 are in relation with your comments: new double glazed windows, new smell in hallways, improved wifi quality.

Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back so you can experience our improvements.

My husband and I visited the NH Stephanie in October 2012 for a weekend and were not disapointed. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and the hotel was a bit tricky to find, even with the gps. After a lucky guess down a one way street we arrived safe and sound, but parking was very limited. When we were checking in and asked where we should park, the man at the desk moved his own car so that there would be room for ours! Needless to say, excellent service. The room was a bit small, but modern, quiet and comfortable and perfect for a weekend for 2.
We had breakfast included every morning and it was really great. A step above most continental breakfasts including fresh juice cocktails, many other juice, coffee and tea selections. Warm and cold options were provided.
The hotel is a bit far from the major attractions of Brussels, but it is located right beside the metro and it was really clean, inexpensive and easy to use.
Near the hotel there is a pedestrian zone with a cute irish pub for a nice pint (McSweeneys) and a few restaurants. we asked the concierge to reccomend a restaurant to us on our first night and he reccomended a nice bistro style resto onave. Louise (I can't remember the name! A pity) where we had wonderful mussels.
The next night we went to another restaurant near the hotel. I also can't remember the name, but there was a piano and live music which was nice, but possibly the worst food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband and I ordered tartar a la minute, and it was hamburger meat on a plate with an onion chopped up on top of it. We just could not eat it (And we love to eat and are not picky - even if it wasn't great, we would have eaten it). The waiter saw that we obviously didn't like it, and despite the fact that we said it was ok, offered us another selection which was great. next meal (chicken on puffed pastry and a steak) also a complete miss. Nice staff, horrible food.
So mussel = yea, piano bar = nah

Nice deli with nice sandwichs on the corner.

Also nice shopping in the area just a 2 minute walk away (Karen Millen, BCBG, Zara Home, etc..)

Service at the hotel was in English, French and German.

If we were in Brussels again, we would go back

I was at that hotel in 27/12/2013. It was totally impossible to sleep due to noise coming from inside and specially outside the hotel. For sure I'll never go back there.
It is a 4 stars hotel without LCD TV, the room was satifying but we can expect more from a 4 stars hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor!

I am very sorry that your stay in the NH Stéphanie was not to your satisfaction and I apologize for that, I perfectly understand your comments. In this regard I would like to inform you that a project is already on its way to adress those concerns. We are planning to place new double-glazed soundproof windows in all rooms (half will be already finished before end of March 2014) as well as replacing all our televisions with lcd flat screens before the month of June 2014.

Thank you again for your comments about your stay!

After just arriving back in to the UK i was very eager to share my views on Hotel NH Stephanie, we stayed for two nights and throughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish.
The reception staff greeted us with such a lovely welcome and were able to answer all our questions promptly and efficiently. A free safe in the room was also a very good bonus. The breakfast was more than adequate for the price we payed, this was a self service full continental breakfast which also included a couple of hot dishes too. The only thing that let it down slightly was when i asked for milk for my tea for the room and they charged us. A good tip for you be aware of the tax you are asked to pay when you check out we got charged 6 euros per room per day.
There was no bar in the hotel but we did go to a local bar just around the corner there is also a few restaurants and cafes and a small supermarket there too. Finally the cheapest and best way to get around is on the metro the nearest one to the hotel is Louise. I look forward to staying in a NH Hotel again soon.

We have just come back from a 3 day stay at this hotel....found the staff to be very friendly. .lovely and clean and the room was spotless and spacious. ..
2 minute walk from the designer shops and a 15 - 20 minute walk to Grand Place..
Perfect location close to everything you need..
Breakfast was a bit bland .maybe a bit more variety on the hot food side of it but there are plenty of places to eat out .
Overall I would recommend this hotel for the location and cleanliness . We travelled as a couple and had a lovely lovely weekend there.

Very nice hotel at a very reasonable price too. We had to get moved rooms as the safe didn't work but the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even let us check in several hours before the designated check-in time. It is more of a business hotel, admittedly, but is only a short walk (15 mins or so) from the Grand Place.

Nice room, good location with the Eurostar only 2 stops away (3 if you go to Louise), bars and restaurants close by. Much better to do it this way and save 50 euros on a hotel by the Grand Place.

Breakfast is 15 euros but we went ate in the deli just up the road for 3-5 euro's each
