Comfortable, rate thru laterooms was good value for capital city, being able to cook worked well for us, good location close to metro. Staff surly but efficient. Parking useful, met our needs and expectations

When we travel, we love to stay in small B&B's and farmhouses, so this was out of the ordinary for us. This is a great small hotel if you need to be in the city "downtown" area, and we did not find any noise issues. However, it did remind us of the small hotels in New York City where space is at a premium.

I've been working in Brussels for a great part of the last 2 years and normally stay in the centre of town, but this week was a last minute booking and the only hotel available was this one. Oh dear.

If you want to be by Louise, then the location is great. Assuminng that means you want to be by a busy road with regular police sirens going on; in a room that has double glazing - but with a nice vent at the top of it to make sure the sound can all still get in.

If you want a modern hotel - this is not the one for you. My 'in room entertainment' had a cassette player - in 2012 !!

If you want a clean (as in well looked after) room - then this is not for you. Curtains and carpets were stained and the wall had (small) bits of plaster missing. There was mould on the tiles in the bathroom.

If you want a clean (as in not dirty) room - then you are in luck, it did all apear to be cleaned. Of course - if you want it cleaned every day, like at most hotels - here that will cost you.

If you want a basic kitchenette - you're in luck here too. Firdge, two electric rings and a microwave, along with basic crockery and a kettle.

If you want to sleep - then you'd better get lucky. Not only is the noise from outside barely abated due to the vents above the windows; the noise from the inside is pretty bad too. The doors close with an almighty bang and, at least this week, the corridors seem to be regularly used by the other guests as places to have shouting conversations at - at half past midnight. And why a hotel should have such poor between-floor sound insulation is beyond me. But people above me doing riverdance last night sure had some fun.

If you're budget conscious, loud and/or sleep soundly - and want to be in Louise for some reason - knock yourself out. If you are used to a proper hotel - don't go here.

It was a business visit and I stayed here for around a week. Very cramped. A basic sleeping space is what you get. The layout of the room was a bit strange as well, with a large sofas and a small bed.

The good part of the hotel is its location, which is central in the city.

Don't expect much from this, paying a 100 euros a night.

Stayed four nights for a business trip. Over a hundred Euros a night but we're still in bargain territory by Brussels standards.

Despite no-smoking signs all over the hotel, the previous occupants of my room apparently viewed this as an invitation to light up liberally. The curious layout - the toilet by the entrance, the rest of the bathroom around the corner - made middle-of-the-night bathroom trips a bit of an obstacle course. The bathroom itself had one bar of soap, and a shampoo dispenser.

TV wasn't high-definition but at least there were a good assortment of channels in different languages. WiFi was included for me - bonus is that each room has its own hotspot and wired connection (though the wired bit didn't reach the desk). The desk was an odd affair, not very ergonomic, and the only accessible power outlet on top of the desk has to be shared with the desk lamp. Noise on the street was quite audible through the windows. And there's no housekeeping. Make your own bed.

Breakfast was not included in my package - 11 Euro/person for juice, coffee, croissants and 2 choices of cereal. This seems to be a Brussels tradition - hotels tend to charge the earth for very little. I took breakfast elsewhere after the first morning. The Nespresso machine in the lobby had only a few pods of caffeinated coffee left, and produced a weak brew in see-through plastic cups.

The only staff I saw in the hotel were at the front desk. Pleasant enough, everything processed smoothly without fuss. It's efficient, clean, average-priced (for Brussels) and if you're staying awhile, the kitchenette would surely cut down on food costs.

Room Tip: doesn't seem to be a good side - the front has the noisy avenue, and the side has a noisy alley...

Stayed here for several days in October on business, was expecting a warm welcome but reception staff was most definitely not! Far from perfect, the good thing was being checked in early in the morning so this was great.

As an apartment hotel don't expect cleaning, it doesn't happen! The TV was great and I was so happy to get English channels and local 1s also. Wifi is a bit rubbish, they give 1 voucher and it's supposed to be for 2 devices but I was able to connect to more.

Used the washing facilities which were great but fairly expensive. Location wasn't too bad, some tramps slept just near the Louise metro station but this happens all over Brussels.

So...average stay, average prices - better deals available if you keep looking!

I had two nights in a Studio apartment for a good price in August 2012. Free tea/coffee in lobby and access to computer which is a godsend as I didn't travel with a laptop. Good location. Exit the hotel and turn left its a 15 minute walk to the railway station (although its not a direct path) and turn right you are close to restaurants, shops and supermarket. Front desk staff quiet but helpful. Nice hotel but nothing exceptional.
