3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 September 2013

Allmost all hotels in Brussels this week so I ended up in this hotel. It is located near Ger du Midi, very near! In fact I could hear even the loudspeaker from the train station platform quite clearly when I had the window open. Luckily it was quiet enough for a good nights sleep with the windows closed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good, so all in all - rather good value for money

Room Tip: The rooms not facing the street and railway station are probably more calm

Spent one night here in September 2013. Hotel is directly across the road from one of the exits of Bruxelles-Midi station. It doesn't look much from the outside, and the area around the station/hotel isn't the nicest but the room was clean and breakfast was OK. Couldn't get wifi to work, but wasn't really an issue on this occasion.

This is a fine new hotel located close Brussels city centre. The design won't win any awards but the rooms are very spacious and clean. Couple of issues though. There was no remote control supplied for the a/c unit. The receptionist had to accompany me to the room and set the temp. He then took the remote with him. Also the hotel advertises free wifi. This was not available in my room or either of my friends rooms. It was available in the lobby but this fact is not advertised.. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but at least it is included in the room rate.

We were there last week and the experience was not good. First we found quite a few hairs on the bed sheet, most likely not changed after the last guest. The staff did come and check and we were given another room. Same as the other reviewer, the air-condition remote was not in the room, we have to get it from the reception. Most painful was the smell of cigarette smoke at night time, seem like someone is smoking somewhere inside the hotel and the smoke came in from underneath the door. The second night we put a towel to block the gap and it was better. But if you are looking for accommodation near MIDI station, then this place is convenience.

The hotel is not bad yet not extravagant. It was just what we need since we were arriving in Belgium in the evening and leaving to Paris the next afternoon.

Ideal location a few steps away from the train station as well as 15-20 minute walking distance to the Grand Place.

The room was spacious enough and comfortable.

The toilet however was a bit small but manageable.

The breakfast was quite nice actually.

Can be a little cheaper but acceptable I feel.

This is supposedly a 3 stars hotel.
Well, the room was not heated! There were no radiators, but only an air-conditioner working as a heat pump, but the first night I was unable to activate it because the remote control was not in the room. There weren't additional blankets. The following day I asked for the remote control and an additional blanket (leaving a note on the bed and saying so the receptionist). However, when I arrived at night, there was no blanket (I was said that I could be given one only in case of vacancies...). I managed to activate the heat pump but it was very noisy and unefficient. After sleeping at at cold on the second and last night I was even unable to have a warm shower, because the boiler was not working.
And when I complained about this, the staff was very unkind.
THis kind of service is unaccettable for a three stars hotel, also considering that I paid 210 euros for two nights, a fee that would be appropriate for a four stars hotel.
One positive aspect? The position nearby the Midi station, useful if arrive from the Charleroi airport late at night.
I strongly advise to avoid it!

Stayed here for one night only and getting there late in the day dropped our bags off and headed into central Brussels. Got back very late and headed off to Bruges after breakfast...
This was a few months ago so am relying on notes made at the time. The room was basic with no frills but served the purpose. The pleasant surprise was a good breakfast selection which was included in the price. For this I rated this hotel as good value for money.
