Having stayed at Shipwrecks a few times I would have to agree with the seven wives comments ..Rick is indeed a chick magnet .. looks after them as only a true private school gentleman knows how.
When I come to the island to catch up with friends I normally plan to spend about 2 days with Rick but that inevitably turns into 3 or 4 just to help him with his guests!
The comments about room quality ,comfort and cleanliness are all true, and for me the only downside is no pool ... but the beach and pools ar only 3 minutes walk.

Room Tip: listen to Rick

We stayed at Rick`s for 4 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The accomodation is great, a lovely compound with the possibility to watch thousends off dvd`s in a separate relaxed room. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and offer a lot of privacy. The bed is really cofortable. The staff bakes fresh bread every morning, and it`s just a short walk to the beach.

I was lucky enough to be treated to stay here with six friends for a reunion.

Firstly the villas - The beautiful wooden villas are very private and relaxed, the outdoor bathrooms are a dream and the beds are very comfy. The master villa also has a bath which looked great but otherwise each room is equally charming. The garden is well maintained and thoroughly patrolled by Blossom the cat.

However, our host made our stay. Rick welcomed seven women in (extremely) high spirits into his home, looked after us and took care of our varying demands exceptionally well and made our trip really special. We all left feeling very sorry to go.

The rooms as the outside bathrooms are beautiful. The villa has a relaxed and very welcoming atmosphere.
You pay a little bit more than the standard, but what you get back is worth every penny.
We stayed only 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed with at Shipwrecks Beach Villa for two weeks in June 2012. The property is beautiful and secluded and Rick is a fantastic host. Beyond simply providing excellent customer service, he made my wife and I feel like old friends visiting his home. Thank you for your hospitality Rick!

The cost per night is high compared to the accommodation in this part of Lembongan but the place is relatively nicer, larger and more exclusive.

For a surfer, the location is great; a 50m stroll to the water to check the Shipwrecks surf break, which is a 600m direct paddle from shore (there are also many boats that will ferry you out to the break for about a US$1). See www.wavessomewhere.com for detailed surf spot information and pictures of Shipwrecks surf break as well as other spots around the globe.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of two regular rooms and then moved to the master suite. The regular rooms are lar...

We loved our time at Lembongan, had 5 days & could have stayed longer. The staff at Shipwrecks organized bikes for us plus a snorkel trip which was truly amazing!! Highly recommend. We ate at a different place everyday for lunch & dinner & did not have a bad meal, so cheap too. Would we come back? Tomorrow if it was possible
