Owner description: Welcome to Big Fish Diving, a scuba diving and yoga resort based on the beautiful island of Lembongan. We offer daily diving for certified divers as well as the full range of PADI and SSI diving courses. All our staff are fully trained to professional standards and have completed hundreds if not thousands of dives locally. The diving around the Nusa Penida Marina protected area couldn't be healthier, with flourishing vibrant corals and abundant fish life. We are also blessed with year round Manta Ray sightings and the magnificent Oceanic Sunfish from July - October. We also offer accommodation at the Secret Garden Bungalows, daily Yoga classes and are home to the Aquatic Alliance Manta Ray research team.

Picking the right operation to do the Dive Master course is a daunting task - it's the most formative bit of education for any diver, and the longest course in recreational diving. Where you do it will make the difference between you becoming a competent, professional level diver, or becoming a dive muppet with a DM badge.

Well, there are no dive muppets working at Big Fish.

The instructors (Michelle, Rich, Andrea and Oli) took a strong interest in our education (there were 3 of us DMT's) and tailored activities to our individual needs. They always made sure we got as much as possible out of the course. Customer service and safety are paramount here, and we learned a lot about how to make divers happy. It is this focus on the dive customers that marks good dive operations, and Big Fish diving is a very good one indeed.

It's not just the instructors, however - Budi and Koman will make sure your air is never contaminated, and Boat captain Doni will always be there when you surface, no matter how strong the drift.

Very highly recommended.

Having been recommended to Nusa Lembongan for some diving from my Open Water instructor, I was blessed with her giving me the details for Big Fish Diving and Secret Gardens Bungalows.
Tim, Andrea, Michelle and other staff were welcoming and helpful for any questions you asked of them.
The diving locations that we went to were brilliant and to swim for 40 odd minutes with 4 large Manta Rays was a dream come true.
The Secret Garden bungalows are a basic room with a pedestal fan in them which is quite suitable for me who only stayed one night for diving. Unfortunately at the time I was there the pool filter pump had stopped working (Tim was working very hard and getting it fixed) and the power went off around 5p.m. and didnt return on the island until 11:30 p.m. so having to try and sleep with no fan going was quite hard. Even when the power came back on it went off a couple more time (no fault at all on Secret Garden Bungalows).
There is a kitchen onsite there where you can buy food and drinks from at really cheap prices.
The food spots that Tim suggested were also enjoyable.
If you are into diving then Lembongan is a dive location that I can definitely recommend for you to see.

Very professional school and the diving instructors are fantastic. Lembongan is a great place to learn how to dive! The diving school is also involved in researching Manta rays and the Mula Mula fish. If you're lucky you'll see them on your diving trip!
