Looks like a luxury hotel from the outside and has a striking atrium. The room was clean but the bathroom was in dire need of a make over. There weren't any chairs on the balcony and we weren't encourage to go onto it. We were told it was health and safety and mosquitos. We did eventually access it, no mozzie problem, but if I have a balcony I would like to sit out on it.
We had room service, my husband enjoyed his curry and I had a sandwich. The breakfast really let this hotel down, it had to be the worst I've ever had. We asked about eggs but were told 'no eggs' by a waiter who seemed shocked we even asked, perhaps it's not allowed in the vegetarian restaurant but that was where the breakfast was . I think they are more used to domestic guests.
The staff were polite and helpful.
There only seemed to be 2 rooms occupied in this huge hotel, perhaps that tells you something.
The temple town was worth a visit as was the elephant stable.More
