Especially the crab soup and fish platter.
Excellent selection if you like fish, not so good if your a meat eater.

Overpriced very ' average food' . The service leaves an awful lot to be desired too. If in the area, go to Alnmouth to the Red Lion, superb food, great value and friendly capable staff

As the title says - a lovely place for a stop of for a drink. Meals looked good, not sure on the prices though.

This pub was a very welcome sight after the coastal walk from Almouth - menu a bit limited (mainly fish) and on a busy day a 45minute wait for a toast is a bit much but my husband thoroughly enjoyed his seafood planter of salmon, crab, prawn, kippers and herring. All food reasonably priced and maybe we'll try again for an evening meal.

Good value British cuisine in a beautiful setting. There are lots of "zones" to chose from, a room with a view, a captains cabin with comfy sofas, a glass sided balcony overlooking the garden, the garden itself which is good for dogs and families, with lots of room for buggies. And the bar. Efficient service but only downside is queueing at the till to place and pay for your order- a bit like Wetherspoons. A good varied mene which was pretty good value with homemade sauce and a selection of fresh fish. The crab soup was incredible and served with tasty bread. Best I've ever had. Sea views were lovely.
