“Another good meal....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

We went back to this small, cosy French restaurant and were delighted to see it packed - it deserves to be. Good food and wine, friendly attentive service and a good atmosphere. It took a bit longer than usual to get the first course but understandable as every table was taken. I've recommended the place to others who have had similarly good experiences.

“Entente very cordiale!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

Have now eaten at this restaurant a few times and have greatly enjoyed each visit. The owner goes out his way to make his customers welcome and both he and his small staff work hard to impress. The service is relaxed, it's a typical French restaurant, but it appears to have satisfied most diners when I was there with family and friends. The décor is attractive and there is a very good atmosphere - you could easily imagine you were in France.

With the competition from the local dining establishments, Benois and his team are up with the best but they need to maintain a varied menu to ensure that regular customers continue to support their efforts. A website would be helpful.

“Back for third time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

We have now visited this restaurant for a third time and each time it gets better. Friendly efficient service, first class cooking and a nice variety on the menu.
I have already recommended it to friends and advised them to book as they are limited for space.
Small is beautiful.

“Great food and ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

We had a lovely time dining here! The fish and the chicken were to die for. Very polite and courteous staff. Small menu, but that makes it easier to choose what you like! Booking is advisable since it is a small restaurant and that gives it a more personal touch. Between the service and the lovely ambiance, it felt like being in France

“Typically French, great food, slow service!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

Booked a table for 8.30 as we were going to the cinema first and wanted to eat afterwards. Arrived early but shown straight to table then took nearly 3 hours to serve starters, main course and desert. We had to order a 2nd bottle of wine with our starters as we had been waiting that long it was nearly empty. Asked for bread 3 times, was told it was being freshly baked then saw waiter cut up a French stick which was served at the end of our starters. Not the place for a quick in and out meal. The service was good, the food great, the price expensive; £106.50 for 2 of us however this included 2 bottles of house Rose but no tip which was extra. Would we return? I definitely would if not in a hurry however my wife was hungry and tired and did not appreciate the long wait between courses and it spoilt the occasion for her.
