“bigger sand pit”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

This is truly nice but small place. Packed up during the Summer but nice place for families with children. There is also a shower. Close to the shops and pubs, so good located!

“Simple, nothing special”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

This is a simple, small area so it is best to visit when that is not polluted with unpleasant people. I.e. when no events such as the Leigh Regatta is on.

“Nice Beach”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

Took our 5 year old granddaughter and enjoyed the day. We got there around 10 am and found a nice spot but the beach soon became very crowded. The paddling pool is a bonus when the tide is out and kept our granddaughter occupied. Would recommend.

“Lovely little sandy beach.”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

This beach was very clean and perfect for my little ones to paddle in the water. There were bins on the beach which had been cleaned and emptied. The toilets were clean too. I even find the train running alongside quite quirky. Worth a visit.

“Wonderful sandy beach”
Reviewed 27 June 2013

One of the 8 beaches in Southend between Shoeburyness and Leigh-on-Sea. We have been to them all as we are from Southend.

Leigh-on-Sea beach is one of my favourites (the other being Westcliff-on-Sea beach).

Spent a lovely sunny afternoon here with my husband, children and Mum today after having lunch at Sara's tea gardens and a walk around Old Leigh.

Beach is only small but is sandy, clean and tidy. All had fun building sandcastles and playing in the sea. Toilets and icecreams are available right next to the beach

Would recommend this beach.
