... and we still remember it fondly. We adored the ancient stone building with its unique character, the very spacious rooms, the kindness of the landlady and landlord, the wonderful breakfast. Many years have elapsed since our first visit, but we want to go back there, and we WILL!

We (a party of 5 adults and 1 child) were at Bissick Old Mill for 3 nights from 12 June 2012 and we enjoyed our stay there tremednously. Vivien and Patrick proved to be very capable and wonderful hosts and all our queries before the booking were answered to succinctly and promptly.

We stayed at Room No. 2 (2 adults) and the Mill Suite, the latter of which has 2 rooms, 1 with a super king-size bed (2 adults) and another with a single bed with a truckle bed (1 adult and 1 child). Both rooms have their own ensuites, which made it very convenient for us. All our rooms are located in the main house.

We find the location to be ideal for our exploration around Cornwall. Truro is a mere 7 miles away and has many shops and restaurants. We were out and about on all our days there and it was comforting to know that at the end of our adventurous and tiring day, we will come back to a warm, cosy and comfortable room. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were provided in our rooms, together with fresh milk and bottles of mineral water, which were all thoughtfully replenished each day. Our rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the beds and sheets were oh-so-comfortable!! Wifi access was fast and free!!

Breakfasts by Patrick and Vivien are another thing to rave about! We made our choices the night before and at the end of our 3-night stay, we have tried and enjoyed most but sadly, not all that were on their very extensive menu. We were truly spoilt by the generous portions of everything that were being served!

We highly recommend this delightful place to other visitors to the area. Their service was simply marvellous and their rooms were more than comfortable!

Really great stay at Bissick Old Mill. Patrick and Vivienne were more than kind to us. I have special needs with my mobility and they really looked after me. Breakfast was huge and all locally sourced....Full Cornish is the way forward! Good pub close by and very well located in this quiet village. We found Ladock a central location to explore all of Cornwall and knowing we were returning after a days exploring to Bissick Old Mill was something we looked forward to. Our Suite was spacious and spotless. Other guests also very pleasant. We will be back.

Room Tip: We looked at the Granary (it was full when we stayed) and that is a great detached hide-away.

Just come home from a very relaxing 3 night break . Accomodation was very clean, room was perfect, milk in the fridge & a bowl of fruit were really nice touches. Bed was really comfy! Ideal location for exploring the surrounding areas - we made the most of our short break. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and plenty of whatever you did choose! The owners were very friendly & made us feel very welcome. Would definetly go back if we were in that part of the world again. No hesitation about recommending this fantastic B&B.

Stayed for 3 nights in spacious and well appointed rooms with very comfortable beds. The freshly prepared fruit with breakfast was a great touch and much appreciated. The village is quiet and friendly with the pub right at hand for meals. The guest lounge is also a well appreciated area.

stay for 3 nights, the room was great, i tried looking for faults but could not find any worth mentioning, the only thing i would mention was we stayed in a room below what must have been the owners children accomodation and as the b&b is an old building the floors were old and creaky and we could hear alot of thumping on the ceiling from walking or running around.
The owners were lovely, friendly and were very accommodating with everything we needed or asked for, breakfast was great and everything really clean and the locals were friendly, oh and really handy as the pub is next door.
Location of the place is great for exploring the local area and further a field.
Would definately recommend this place and would stay here again

What a lovely old B&B full of history but also comfortable and spotlessly clean. Sadly only stayed for one night but the attention to detail was brilliant and the hosts made us more than welcome. We stayed in room 2 and it was lovely, large walk in wardrobe with the nice touch of a small fridge and fresh milk. The ensuite was a good size and very clean and lovely towels with a bonus of dressing gowns. Breakfast was lovely, cooked well & and a good menu. We will definately go back a good base for checking out Cornwall. There is a beautiful lounge for guests to use which is full of charactor.
