“A Wilderness Camping Adventure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

My seventeen year old son and I had scheduled a trip to Vancouver in July 2013 but I was concerned that we would not survive a week of world class eating in the city so at the last minute we scheduled an Orca Camping tour with Grey Wolf Expeditions. The kayaking was great and required absolutely no previous experience. The trip was all we could have asked for and completed a wonderful vacation in this beautiful part of Canada. My son was thrilled. He loved watching the salmon jump, and fishing in the beautiful waters of the Johnstone Straits. We were lucky to hear the telltale sounds of the Orca and see them from our campsite. Jesse's gourmet wilderness meals rivaled those which we had experienced in Vancouver too! (Nothing better than eating fish that you catch yourself from a kayak as a special treat). As an added bonus we were lucky enough to have the rare opportunity to see a black bear just feet from our vehicle but you shouldn't count on this. I highly recommend booking this trip with Grey Wolf. You won't be disappointed!

“We couldn't recommend this more highly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2013

My boyfriend and I went on the Discovery Islands tour with Jesse in June this year. We had an absolute ball! Jesse and Sandra were incredibly professional yet accommodating since we only booked the trip a few days beforehand and Jesse agreed to take just the two of us out. The trip was fantastic; Jesse has a local's knowledge of all the flora and fauna -birds, fish and animals, as well as being a brilliant cook. We were treated to cooked breakfasts and gourmet dinners (including delicious fish that we had caught ourselves) all produced on a camp stove in the middle of the wilderness! Jesse and Sandra are great people and they mix professionalism with a flexibility and understanding of what you are looking for on your holiday. They taught us about (Vancouver) 'Island Time' which basically means just relaxing and letting go, and not letting your watch rule your holiday. We could not recommend this more highly and will be booking another tour as soon as we can!

“Amazing tour”

We did the Wild West Tour with Jesse. We really enjoyed it: great experience, well organized, delicious food, small groups and not to forget - a guide who knows a lot about fauna and flora. We definitely just can recommend Grey Wolf.

“Orca camp”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2013

I went to orca camp near Robson Bight, Johnston Strait, July 2012. I was with 2 other women. It was a very relaxing time. We saw orcas swim by camp, as well as otters. After a long day of paddleing Jess made a sauna, which we crawled into after our fresh caught cod supper. Jess is a super cook, all the meals were delicious.

Having grown up in the area, Jess is a wealth of knowledge about the area, flora & fauna, with very interesting stories & folk lore.
Make sure you don't forget your camera, lots of scenery & wildlife to take pics of.

“Would do it again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2013

My son and I went down to Vancouver Island last summer on a trip we had booked with Jesse and Sandra and we had a great time. There was a little hiccup with an outside source but it didn't ruin our experience and Sandra made sure to accommodate us on our return with a discount on our next trip. Our guide, Bill, was very knowledgable about the island, animals and history of the native people. He made our stay very pleasurable and we would definitely book through Grey Wolf again. Thanks for everything :)
