This pub was conveniently located between our daughter's campsite in Monkton Wyld and our B&B in Rousden. We arrived at 8.50pm and were lucky to be allocated a table (albeit in the pool table area) and allowed to order. The menu was typical gastro-pub (I had lamb shank and others had pan-fried catch of the day), all well cooked and generous portions. I enjoyed my pint of Otter ale and the ladies their Chardonnay. Our five-year-old granddaughter was particularly well looked after. All in all a very satisfactory dining experience after fearing that we wouldn't be fed!
