Stayed here one night for our visit to River Cottage HQ. Cannot fault, the room was very clean, the owners very friendly and a breakfast to die for. The B&B is ideally located if you are visiting Rive Cottage as it was0 either a twenty minute walk or a short taxi ride.

Unusual format for a b&b which really suited our family. The family room is lovely, spacious, bright, fresh and clean. Really unexpected as you pull off the main road.

The rooms are in a separate building behind the owners house, surrounded by decking overlooking rolling fields. The owners were very nice to our children and suggested they could go on their trampoline in one of the fields to burn off some energy after a long car journey. They also told us we could walk down to their carp lake and feed the fish if we wanted to stretch our legs.

Breakfast was delivered in a hamper to our room, great selection of yogurt, cereal, fruit, croissants nicely warmed and freshly looked sausages included. There is a dining table in the room as well as a kettle and toaster. Much more relaxed than a normal B&B, we had breakfast in pyjamas.

After a warm welcome from Julie we were shown to Room 1. This was a lovely spacious room with a separate bed for our daughter. The location was ideal for River Cottage HQ and Lyme Regis and there was a nice pub just a couple of minutes walk away (although busy so worth booking a table).

Outside, there were fields, a lake and a large trampoline which our daughter loved. The breakfast was delicious - lots of food including cereal, toast, sausages, yogurts, fruit, ham, cheese and croissants. It made a nice change to eat this in the room overlooking the fields.

Overall this is a lovely B&B in a great location with friendly hosts.

Room Tip: Room 1 is spacious and has a separate bed for a child

We got a last minute booking here for a visit to River Cottage HQ. Really nice set up. Breakfast in the room is a new experience and so much better than the enforced group meals at other places. Breakfast is good quality and there is a lot of it. The room was really nice, clean and modern. Only thing we would change would be to get a blind for the velux window. You can even go fishing in their lake if you want to.

We arrived late afternoon and was warmly greated by the owners Julie and chris. Having twin boys and 1 yr old baby we had ample space for both children and travel cot (we brought ourselves). the older boys loved the location and enjoyed meeting the animals on there small holding. Overall great accommodation in an idyllic setting.
