Great area for relaxation and romantic weekend escape. Recommended for all gps. We stayed there next weekend and would definitely go back. Place is somehow remote but you definitely will enjoy the tranquility and quietness.

At first thought it would be too secluded but it was perfect. The hotel's public rooms are spacious, clean and attractive ( apart really from the array of stuffed animals but it was in keeping with the style of the building ).
Despite being so far from anywhere the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The wine we had was actually cheaper than in the city. You have to book a time for dinner but we were 30 minutes late one evening and it was no problem. Breakfast is a bit more chaotic but still a good selection of different fresh fruits, American buffet as well as continental. A chef was frying eggs or cooking omelettes to order. Really good value.
Our room was a bit difficult to find and really spacious with twin queen sized beds, sofa arm chairs and a large balcony overlooking the lake. Down side was that the bathroom was very, very small. The shower was the smallest I've ever seen but we managed.
Went on a Beaver and Bear Trek. Was absolutely brilliant. The guides were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend it but would advise booking before you go as it was very, very popular.

Room Tip: Room 125 was a lovely large room. I would request it again despite the small bathroom

We booked 2 rooms for our party of 4 and got put in opposite sides of the buildings. Not well thought. The staff at reception was not very helpful.
Although the hotel is supposed to have 4 stars, the room was hot with no air conditioning and we were given a fan. No safe. The lake-view room was small, and although the description on their site was correct by giving a queen size bed, that is by no means large (as stated) and the photo is misleading. And I'm only a 52kg person!
The view was mainly obstructed by trees and the room was next to the bar, so you couldn't have your curtains open if you wanted any privacy. We had no net curtains in room 109. The balcony was small and uninviting. The bathtub had a whirlpool but the bathroom was small and boxy to enjoy relaxing in there.
Noise travels well in the hotel and you hear every step above and down the corridors.
Breakfast was nice, but á la carte dinner vas poor and without a single option for a vegetarian main course. The other meat courses we ordered were average at best, and lukewarm. Bar area outside was fairly dirty and noisy. The view is nice, and the bar and restaurant areas are the only real place to enjoy them even if you have a lake-view room.
Internet is random. Some rooms get it, others don't.
Facilities at the beach are inadequate: not enough sun loungers and not enough canoes to accommodate the number of guests. No parasols are provided.
The pools at the hotel are only available by accessing the spa at an extra $40 per day, which again, seems excessive.
They are trying to market it as an exclusive spa retreat, basic, with no tv and log cabin feel, but in reality it is just not a very nice or comfortable hotel.

This amazing hotel loceted in prestine nature of Quebec. Known to travelers around the world it is a magnificent wooden hotel that offers amazing service and unforgettable views of nature. The air is fresh and the water in the lake is safe. I love to drink it! It is a pure pleasure to have vacation there, we were coming there for weddings, honeymoon and family gathering for the last 7 years.

I was there 2 days ago.

This hotel is a real icon of a paradise in the woods northern Quebec. Frankly the hotel by itself needs a bit of LTC.

In the dining room, the menus, and the art of doing TheCuisine is mind blowing!
The chef's talent can easily be compared to grand restaurants in the french world, in big cities.
And the service is so warm and sympa!

My husband and I went to Sacacomie for a drink on the terrace and also to take the pulse as to know if we would spend a few days there. There is no way we would spend money in that place, we'll gladly go somewhere else, It took forever for the waiter to come outside and take our order while there was hardly a handful of people sitting there. He arrives without a Hello or any welcoming words, took our order, a gin & tonic and a margarita, and left. We waited for quite a while and he comes back, puts it on the table and that was it... How rude! For an awful Margarita made with chemical lime flavor, he could have at least smiled. A couple arrived and sat next to us. They kept looking at the door to see if someone would come. They both looked fed up while waiting for the server to come and take their order so the man got up and went to fetch their drinks... The only ones who got served quite quickly were 3 pretty young women lightly dressed... So we'll let the Sacacomi server serve young people accurately and we'll spend our money in another place where people are treated as they should be, no matter what age they are.
