We had such a lovely time at Wibdon Barn last week. We arrived to a very friendly welcome and lots of helpful information about the local area from Sue. The barn was spotless with lots of little extras for the grown ups and our 2 small children (3 and 1) who loved the toys and games provided.
It is the perfect place for children with a great pool and gorgeous ,large gardens to roam about in. We visited Perrygrove railway and Beechenhurst in the Forest of Deal with its lovely walking and cycle trails, both were well worth a visit.
I would highly recommend a stay at Wibdon barn and we hope to be back. Thanks for a great stay.
Firstly, hugest thank you to Sue and hubby for making our stay so special.
Communication in the run up to our trip was fab, wonderfully warm welcome on arrival (with little gifts left by the bed for our 2 girls), a bespoke activity/information pack with local events happening during our stay, all tailored to us as a family of 4. Sue also continued to leave notes under a stone outside the door throughout the week with more suggestions of things to do.
The house itself is great. Open plan living, dining, kitchen was so family friendly... spotlessly clean throughout, comfy beds, games, jigsaws, DVDs, a shed full of bikes and scooters - it really was home from home for us. And all set in wonderful gardens with splendid views.
The cherry on the top of this marvelous cake was the heated swimming pool, which was all ours for the week and that we got to enjoy every day. The girls adored it.
Thank you for everything Sue - your attention to detail really did make our week; we had a really fantastic week. See you next time!
Perfect location for exploring the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. The cottage was spotless and equipped with everything you could need and more. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The surroundings and the pool added to the enjoyment. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
A very special place to stay. Wibdon barn is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the barn is well equipped with everything you could want for a very comfortable stay.Chepstow is a few miles away and it is well worth a visit to this historic town. Many other interesting places to visit within quite a small distance made our stay one of the best .Thank you Sue for a lovely five days and we hope to see you again some time.
My wife and I spent a week at Wibdon Barn with our 2year old and 4month old.
Sue and her husband were the perfect hosts and the converted Barn is great if you want a self catering base from which to explore the surrounding area.
Clean, contemporary and comfortable and set in perfect grounds for new families with toys, trees and fields for kids to explore and run wild in.
Not to mention the swimming pool!
We loved it and our son still asks if he can go back all the time.
