Google Maps got the address wrong and dropped us in an unattractive city neighborhood. We were so disappointed -- until we figured out our error, headed out of town into the countryside, and found this beautiful agriturismo. The owner, Salvatore, proudly showed us in his main building where the grapes were once stomped and the juice flowed into a holding vat that now comprises the sitting room. The guest quarters have new, high-quality furnishings and are quite spacious. The silent, country setting is perfect. Rumbles from nearby Mount Etna provided for lively breakfast conversation. The food was homemade and exquisite. Fresh squeezed orange juice from fruits plucked just outside the window. Delicious pastries with homemade marmalade. Excellent espresso. The owner and his family gave us great tourist tips on where to park to see the nearby Taormina and on the Roman villa we should see on our way to our next destination (we did, and it was unbelievable). Excellent dining options nearby, including the family-run restaurant just a mile up the road and a fine seafood restaurant in town a few miles away. We were so happy with this place and wish we'd booked a longer visit.

Salvo is a very nice host. The rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Due to the location there is a wonderful view of the sea and on the mount etna. From here you can reach it in about 15 minutes. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly book here again. The ride from the airport Catania to the accommodation is around 30 minutes. In 20 minutes you can reach the beautiful city taormina, one of the beautiful cities on sicily.

Thus, the Agriturismo is very well located if you want to go to the beach, having a trip to taormina or visit the etna and some others like alcantara canyon or castello di calatabiano.

We enjoyed our holiday and want to thank you salvo for your kindness and your tips.

The agriturismo is ideally located, just a 15min drive from Giardini Naxos & Taormina, with a wonderful view of the sea & the Etna. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, everything is brandnew as the agriturismo is only open since May this year. We stayed with our 2 small children (almost 3yrs & 8 months old), no problem at all. Babycot was provided without any charge. Salvatore is a very friendly and welcoming host, he gave us valuable local tips on local attractions, restaurants,...

Only minor item, but that is work in progress according to Salvatore, is to extend the wifi coverage also through in the rooms (currently only in the lobby).

We absolutely can recommend the Giardini degli Ovali as an ideal base to explore Sicily!

I booked a trip to Sicily and I found this excellent place to spend my holiday. Everything was perfect and the staff were so friendly. I have been in so many countries around the world but I have to say that Sicily and especially this Giardino degli Ovali is now my favorite place to spend my holidays. I will return here as soon as possible! I recommend this paradise for everyone!:)
