“late present!”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

I've just spent a wonderful afternoon marvelling at a variety of birds of prey at Phoenix Falconry. Like a lot of other people today, we were using a voucher present received at Christmas and about to expire. My only regret about the day was not having used the voucher earlier in the year, which would have allowed us either to see very young birds or go out hunting in the season, or both! I really want to go back.
We spent the first half of the session learning about how falcons are trained and the second about various birds - small and large, familiar, exotic and verging on extinction. Adrian is very informative and takes a lot of care to inform visitors, to include everyone and amuse. A great afternoon.

“What a Great Experience”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

This is exciting, educational and informative with friendly, funny and very knowledgeable, experienced staff. It is incredible value for money and the birds are astonishingly beautiful and to get them up close onto your arm is amazing. This is a must visit if in the area - only 40 mins from Glasgow and Edinburgh. 3.5 hours passes all too quickly with a huge variety of birds of prey.

We all decided we would go back very soon.

“Birds of prey”
Reviewed 15 June 2013

My Wife Grace was given a living social voucher for a 3 1/2 hour experience at Phoneix Falconry as a 50th birthday present and she had the time of her life.

The gentleman providing the tour and doing the demonstrations was knowledgable and explained everything in great detail to the group but the best part of it all was that you actually get to fly and feed the birds yourself and she loved every minute of it.

My wife has health problems and finds standing or walking for any length time tiring and painful but it was no problem to them as they fetched a chair out for her to sit in whilst watching and nothing was to much effort to ensure she enjoyed it...

Tea/coffee was supplied during a break and everyone left after the event having had a wonderful experience, my wife certainly had the time of her life and would thoroughly recommend this visit to anyone.

“A fabulous experience”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

Huge thanks to Adrian, a real showman who provides great entertainment, whilst managing to inform with genuine authority. Being permitted so close to these wonderful raptors and to see how they are trained and hunted is a real privilege. Adrian gave lots of information and insight and all the time kept us entertained. We had both a participation and an spectator package. The 3 1/2 hour experience, which included an hour or so of background and introduction and over two hours of bird handling, launches, flights, and feeding.
