Over two hours climb up a steap mountain track -- but the Tschafonhütte was worth every drop of sweat. Great food, splendid views, the ringing of the cow bells and the solemn atmosphere a mountain hut so close to the city of Bozen - we enjoyed every minute of our 2 night stay up there (including the shower with saloon doors and the special views in the separate shed). The food was rustic yet delicious, good wines and fantastic cakes made this a culinary experience to remember, too. The best: the unobtrusive yet honest friendliness of the Lunger family.
