“Fansatic family first trip to Cornwall”
Reviewed 6 December 2017 for a stay in October 2017

From the first minute of our arrival to our last before we left I cannot fault The Owl at all. Tracy and Geoff are perfect hosts and nothing is too much bother. From the welcome food basket (home made bread and scones), the great and fully equipped accommodation, to even calling the local pub to book a table for dinner., everything was done to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The girls loved the TV in their room, feeding Doris the duck, sketching by the lake, collecting the eggs from the coop and feeding the sheep every night. There are local shops and a pub less than a mile away, and it is a great base to explore Cornwall. So much to see even in a damp October week following Storm Brian. Would we go again? Of course we would!

“Relaxing in wonderful surroundings, with so many place to visit on the door step.”
Reviewed 22 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Tracy was so welcome, making us feel so at home and made our stay most enjoyable, feeding us cake and scones. The outside space was ideal to allow our dog into, this was unexpected as we were first floor, but the cottage is set into the hill. Very peaceful and well equipped including the fresh eggs to use. We will return when we are back in Cornwall.

“Another fantastic stay at Ashen Cross”
Reviewed 24 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We came back to Ashen Cross with two under fives this year and stayed in the owl. It was perfect and we had a fantastic holiday. Everything we needed was there and Tracy was always on hand as required. The boys loved being so close to all the animals and the location is perfect for exploring cornwall. Would recommend lanhydrock and downderry beach. We will definitely be back again, thank you! Gemma, Gav, James & Fred

“Brilliant, pet friendly, home away from home”
Reviewed 24 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The Owl is set in a lovely quiet location, within easy reach (by car) of the many and varied local attractions ( i.e. Eden project, polperro, etc).
We found it clean, comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly want while on holiday, providing a perfect home away from home.
Tracy is the perfect host, greeting us on arrival, available if we needed her and providing lots of little extras which gives this holiday the wow factor! Including a home baked Cornish cream tea and fresh bread on arrival, amongst other things!
The Owl also has a lovely secluded, safe terrace area for everyone including the dog to enjoy.
With the lake and field this cottage really has it all!
I would not hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to family, friends and everyone!
