Description: Open from earlier december 2017 to mid-april 2018. Le Loup Blanc (The White Wolf), in a mountain frame, we shall appreciate, on its very sunny terrace with beautiful sight to mountain, its sophisticated cuisine and its mountain specialities (delicatessen, cheese, raclettes, tartiflette, fondues...) Or just have a drink in our garden lounge in summer.

This is a really good rest. with wonderful ambient and good food with menu a la carte.
My only problem was with the bill, prices are high and they do not accept Amex or other cc. Only Visa. 132 euro for 2 raclette and 1 steak ...

We visited Le Loup Blanc twice whilst we were on holiday both times were in the evening. The food was excellent and the service was very quick although we did not feel rushed. The first night we went we hadn't booked but they managed to get us a table for 2. For the next night we booked and got a wonderful comfy table. It is a little pricey but it is your holiday after all! Very nice surrounding and good atmosphere. Friendly staff who really did their best to speak English to us. And a nice big roaring fire.

We would recommend it and will go again if we return to the area.

Recommend you book in advance.

We have known this restaurant for a number of years and knew the previous 2 owners. Francois and then Christophe & Julie. However, we reserved a table for 2, shown to our seats and waited for over 35 minutes and no one offered any water or an apero... Eventually we had to get up and go and ask for our drinks. We then had to wait another 15m for our Oder to be taken - 50 mins in and we have only just had our order taken.

The food was very bland and for me expensive. A breast of stuffed capon. Very small extremely dry and no flavour at all - FAD!! For 24€ definitely not worth it. My partners main course was equally bland and boring.

The wine list is a joke. The cheapest Bordeaux being 60€... A cote de Rhone wine over 40€. Sorry but this is really taking advantage of your clients. I am in the business and it is completely possible to purchase wine and sell at a reasonable cost to your clients.

Very very sad that since Christophe has left the restaurant has lost it's way. This was always difficult to get into in previous years but now they always have availability. People will always go because of the decoration - however, people will only put up with it for so long....

Huge huge shame as this was one of the better restaurants in chantemerle - not any more

I wanted to treat my sister and brother in law to a nice restaurant there to thank them for their hospitality and this was the place they chose. Since their last visit the ownership has changed but the chef is the same and indeed the food was truly excellent with a varied choice of dishes and a competitively priced menu. I had the capuccino of lentils, which was a delicious lentil soup with truffle topped with cream. The riz de veau sauce champagne and the croustillant de boeuf won praises too, even if my capon sauce au comté was not so remarkable. For desert the soufflé glacé à la banane and the chocolate amer were excellent as was the more traditional tarte au citron meringuée.
The service was friendly and efficient, with dishes arriving at a good rythm, allowing relaxation and conversation, but not a sense of wait.

My partner's family and I went for a ski trip to France. After our first day of skiing we walked to Le Loup Blanc for early dinner. It's pretty much right at the bottom of one of the hills. They have large portions which was great seeing as we were all extremely hungry after skiing! The food was cooked very well and service was good. The only thing I would say is it took a while for the food to come out.. luckily they gave us some bread and roll top nibble on!
