First you see the clear calm sea. Then there are the Islands. When you get closer to the Island you see amazing rock formations and lush vegetation. Stalactites, caves, Hongs(rooms) and mangroves, all blend into a unique and d beautiful landscape.
We did the tour with Simba. They were great. Every word written about them in TA is true.
Whatever tour you book, make sure it includes Kayaking in the mangroves and hongs. Where you are paddled thorough narrow caves and cracks to enter secluded pools and experience the most extraordinary rock formation. The sea gipsy village is also an interesting experience, which should not be missed.

“See pretty sights, value for money for sure!”
Reviewed 9 October 2012

We went in the first week of July, and we had trouble booking the dates but they were actually quite flexible, there's a tour almost everyday! We got picked up on time, we just waited in the lobby of our hotel. We paid 1100 baht each and we chose the slower boat choice (instead of speedboat). I think our boat cruise was the lower range of costs, still just as enjoyable! No need to go for an expensive one unless you like going quicker then go ahead do the speed boat.

On our boat we had maybe a group of 30 or so people, so for every stop the Tour Operator split us into two groups. One group waited whilst the other went and did the canoe trip. We visited the bat cave which also had monkeys! We visited another cave and lots of photo opportunities again. We had a very friendly tour guide who took a lot of photos for us and did everything we asked. Then we had lunch, lunch was divine. But in our group we had disrespectful international tourists who were similar to 'hawks' so everything was basically first come first served... and I'm sure the tour company didn't foresee this. So be aware that lunch isn't as abundant as you think!

We then visited the infamous James Bond Island, more pictures to be taken, nothing special about the goods and wares they sell. Just a note of caution, the sellers are DESPERATE to sell. I was only curious about the price and bargained hard for fun, and he gave in and I actually didn't want the item (a turtle made from shells). So if you're keen on something there, you can get it for REALLY cheap if you bargain good.

Last, we stopped at another location to swim and free range with the canoes. It is not beach sand kind of swimming, it's mangrove mud. So don't be freaked out if your feet squelch in stuff that feels like diarrhea! A tour guide also pulled out this massive freaky jellyfish out of the water too...

Oh by the way, our boat run out of fuel on the last leg. We had to wait until another boat from a sister tour company came along to pull us back to the jetty.

All in all, just over $30 AUD doing an all day tour to Phang Nga Bay is well worth it. There is LOTS of camera opportunities, free food, they pick you up and take you home and you get to relax on the cruise.

“Top tip with a very knowledgable and enthusiastic chap!”

Done a few trips with Dave and loved every one of them. He's so knowledgeable and very enthusiast about the flora and fauna there. Don't do the mad noisy day trips.... take one of these longer trips and chill, enjoy... and take lots of photos. A marvelous experience all round

“No better way to explore authentic Phuket”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

I have been blown away by my whole experience with Paddle Asia. From the attentive customer service to the once in a lifetime cultural journey. I stumbled across Paddle Asia when researching activities for our (a girlfriend and our 2 kids) up coming trip to Thailand. I had emailed various companies interested in a variety of activities. Dave from Paddle Asia almost immediately responded to my query. This was a REAL person!
Discovering that Paddle Asia does more than just water-based activities, I sent a list activities I was considering doing whist in Thailand-requesting costs associated and option. The response I received gained my instant respect and trust that this was no rip-off company. This guy was passionate about Thailand, The discovery of the authentic Thai landscape and lifestyle and travelers well being. He educated me on elephant exploitation, tourist traps and recommended some restaurants favored by the locals, even linking me to other companies that might suit my needs better. Ending his email with "Keep firing away with questions. Don't worry about asking too many. I don't mind at all."
We booked both the mountain biking day trip- Koh Yao Noi and the Phang Nga Bay day paddle. Which were both individualized to our needs. We were really out of the tourist hub, our ride consisted of over 30kms of riding through rubber plantations, past agricultural land, road, plenty of off road and unexpected hurdles such as water, tree branches/roots, mud, all in a day of MTB riding! Our AMAZING guide 'Run' invited us for stops at relatives’ homes, where we had coconuts plucked from a tree and later, lunch- our favorite meal during our trip made by Run's mother. Our Kayaking was again an amazing experience. No tourists, just beautiful landscapes to paddle around in awe. We took the kids kayaking and Run again was a God send- they loved their trip one of them even said, when asked what was their favorite part of the trip "playing with Run". Lunch was a picnic- laid for us on deserted beach- seemingly plucked straight from a motion picture film!
If you are looking for an honest, insight of the Thailand culture, whether it be by land or sea, you cannot look any further than Paddle Asia.

“Natural Beauty”
Reviewed 1 October 2012

A must see place while in Thailand. There are many tour operators that offer daily boat trips out on the bay, that allow you to experience the beauty and peacefulness of the island formations found here. While cruising among these giant formations you realize the enormity of nature and time and how small your lifetime is in comparison.
