Owner description: Phang Nga is famous for spectacular scenery with limestone cliffs rising out of green water. There are caves, lagoons and tiny secluded beaches awaiting discovery.

With limited time in Phuket, I was looking for a tour that highlighted the region's scenery. A visit to this national park did just that. I booked a full day tour with Luxury Vacation Phuket.

The highlights for me were: (1) Exploring sea caves at Hong Island via sea canoe. Don't worry, somebody else will do the paddling for you. Be prepared to get your shorts wet, and please remember to give the canoe guy a little tip. (2) Ko Tapu (Nail Island, or better known as James Bond Island) - Be prepared for a little hike around the island to see the sights.

Other stops that were just OK: (1) Ko Panyee - a Moslem village on stilts where we stopped for lunch. A whole town of about 1700 people living above water - you get to see a very different way of life. (2) Rang Yai Island - Hang out at the beach. There's a small bar and restaurant.

What I didn't like: (1) There were so many canoes it was literally gridlock at some of the twisty inlets on Hong Island. (2) James Bond Island is way too popular. You have to share the photo ops with the crowd. No big deal - Arm yourself with some patience and a sense of humor and just enjoy the sights.

The tour company did a competent job. They kept us fairly well on schedule. The speed boat was speedy (as promised). Lunch on Ko Panyee was included in the tour price. They kept us well supplied with cold drinks all day and served fresh fruit (also included in the tour price) on our way back to the marina. Tour price was about US $110, showed me some wonderful scenery and kept me entertained for a full day. I thought it was worth it.

We took a day trips to Phang-na,with www.PhuketALLTours.com this tour was the highlight of our holiday
We had a such a wonderful day out , thanks to the friendly and funny crew especially Korn. All aspects of the tour were fantastic from the boat itself to the quieter locations they picked throughout the day to stay away from the crowds from the other inferior tours.
Lunch on the beach front restaurant was also great , lot of food.

We highly recommend this tour company

Our family of five with two young children visited Phang Nga Bay in early Dec. 2013. It was a 4-in-1 Full Day tour package offered by The Guide Co. Ltd. (www.phuketeasytour.com). We booked our package online just a day before the actual tour. The package covered Panak Island, Hong Island, and James Bond Island. The Guide Co. Ltd. also arranged a mini-bus pick-up from our hotel to the pier with extra 100 Baht charge per person. The mini-bus was fully packed and seat-belts were not working. We must say the bad manner, grouchy driver was the only negative experience that we had encountered during this whole trip. He yelled and shouted at the passengers to re-arrange the seating; and he also talked on his cellphone with one hand while driving with another hand most of the time during the ride.

We boarded a boat that carried 30+ tourists all coming from different hotels. Then we realized after chatting with them that not all pay the same amount as we do to join this package. We believe the booking agents; like the one we used, just get a cut from the booking and re-sell it to the operator that actually run the tour at sea; which in this case, it is Amazing Canoeing.

The tour guides from Amazing Canoeing are friendly and funny. And they tried to entertained us during the long ride; about 1 hour, to the Panak Island, our first stop of the day. Then we were dispatched onto the rubber-inflated canoe in small groups (2 to 3 persons per canoe). Each canoe was paddled by a guide toward the cave entrance in Panak Island. The cave is also called monkey cave as there were quite a number of monkeys there. We first went through a dark cave, then came out to a lagoon which was surrounded by cliffs. It was really amazing to experience it.

Then we were paddled out and got back to the boat and moved on to Hong Island; where there was no cave and monkeys; but a much bigger lagoon to paddle around.

Lunch was included in the package. We had it on the boat after the Hong Island visit. It was a simple Thai meal but served the purpose. We moved on to an area after lunch where we were allowed to swim and paddle the canoe ourselves to a tiny beach or just around the boat as the sea in that area were very calm. Then the finally agenda of the day was to visit James Bond Island. We were transferred by water taxi (long tail boat) from our main boat to the beach front of James Bond Island. To our surprise, there were so many tourists on the island.. as if we were in a major shopping center. No kidding, there are many small stalls that sell souvenirs on this tidy island! We were only given 30 minutes to roam around and taking photos. The return trip was 1.5 hours boat ride back to Phuket island. All in all, it was a full day fun and enjoyable trip for us. We left our hotel at about 9:15am and only returned at about 6 pm.

Do bring along sun-block, sun-glasses, hat and swim suits if you want to swim. Bottled water were provided by the tour. We were offered by the guides "motion sickness" pills but we did not take them as the sea was not choppy.

Nature at it's best ! I visited Phang Nga Bay with two sea tours and it was a great day. We had fun and enjoyed the stunning scenery of The Phang Nga Bay.

The limestone rocks with shades of white , red and sandy colors standing in between the ocean looks awesome. We did kayaking at two places and enjoyed the lagoons in the middle of the limestome rocks.

Must visit place when you are in Phuket.
