Nothing much than a rock formation but yes it is giving employment to lot many people around as visitors make to this island when they are in Phuket. One need to do canoeing in natural lagoons and caves along with James Bond Island tour then its worth. I did this tour with Two Sea Tour and we enjoyed very much as a family with two kids (5 Yr and 1 yr)

Firstly my strong advice would be to shrug off any travel/tour packages that promise to take you to the Phang Nga bay area.. waste of time and money !! We hired a car ( 5 of us) with a driver for THB2500 from Patong for the whole day.. the drive to the Surakul pier in Phang Nga took us 1:45 hrs and then a private longtail for THB 3000 for around 4 hours took us to the limestone caves for canoeing (THB 180 each) and James Bond island (entry fee THB 200)
Apart from this lovely scenery while crusing along the bay with the PhiPhi islands looming in the distance.. lovely mangroves.. worth every penny spent.
We also went to a temple with a reclining golden Buddha and some limestone caves which were lovely.. on the way back we stopped by at TESCO for lunch.. all within what we paid to the car guy.

Great day drip to the islands named after James Bond after his shooting of " man with the Golden gun" in 1974.

Canoeing and panyee village were the highlight of the trip.Lots of great photo opportunities. Worth going to see the interesting array of Islands,Fascinating rock sculptures, really small, pleasant island in the middle of the Andaman Sea.

We went through speed boat. Good ride. The guide was really sweet. The stops are also good. Best was canoeing. The Thai lunch is included but we did not like it very much. Over all a good place to go.
