I stayed with a friend for 6 nights. When we arrived they didn't actually have our booking which freaked me out, but luckily there was a room and we managed to stay!

This is what you pay for:
- clean, basic rooms. We stayed in a fan room and it was cleaned every second day, we had water and towels refreshed every day. I cannot comment on what the more expensive rooms are like as we went for the cheapest option. The only thing is that the rooms are pretty close to one another, but you hardly spend any time in it anyway.
- friendly cute staff - my friend speaks Thai so I think that ingratiated us a bit. The staff were really great, but a lot cannot speak much English at all (hence having a Thai speaker was awesome!)
- lush, green surrounds - immediate sense of relaxation, and it's the most densely landscaped of all resorts in the bay.
- small beach, but a few good tiki huts on the water where you can spread out, relax, and you can always go across to the other amazing long white sand beach if you want to swim.
- super family friendly - we don’t have kids but there were heaps of families around.
- good menu and nice BBQ and night. Terrible translations of the menu into English so I think that might stop a few people from ordering some pretty yummy dishes as they sound a bit strange via their translations.
- they have a massage booth, and the lady who did the massages was fantastic but the massage booth is not in a very nice spot, it's kind of tucked into a corner, so it's better to go to the next door resort where their booth is right on the ocean - this resport also has a bar so you can head there if you want some drinks - but be warned, this is not a crazy party island!
- pretty average beds - but all Thai beds seem to be hard, but I didnt have the best sleeps.

I would totally recommend this place to anyone, stay in a cheaper room and take access of the surrounds, restaurant etc.

We booked from all the great reviews posted here, but this resort didn't make the cut for us. We booked a fan room. We felt it was cramped and the bed was sunken so we left and still paid because we had booked ahead. I must say we did not spend the night and I am only judging it on my first impression. Try it for yourself, you may be very satisfied. The staff was friendly.

We ( 2 couples) stayed in the resort during New Year break. As said by others, the resort is overpriced for its quality (small bungalows, close distance between bungalows, ...) and taken in consideration that there is not a real beach, but a pier and a little bit of sand. In addition, there are not enough deck-chairs for all the customers. However the view to the bay, with the sunset just is front is fabulous.
The food is good, but the restaurant service not so good...sometimes we waited more then 30min for a simple thai dish.
The staff is lovely, and it will be maybe the only reason to return to this resort. For New Year' eve, the resort organized a number of activities and games which was really fun. All the customers received a little gift from the resort. The resort is very quite (which I appreciate) and with many families & couples. If you want to "discover" the island the best is to rent a motorbike.

The bay is perfect. Good restaurant. Nice staff - especially the middle-aged manager. Bungalows look older than they are and are not always as clean as should be. The private pier is amazing: very romantic views of the bay and of sunsets. Advanced payment of the overall stay was a surprise.
Probably the best resort in Ko Kood

The only downside to this wonderful resort is, that there isn't really a beach. The beach is - as the name says - very natural, which means full of rocks (and also quite small). But don't t be worried you can still relax by the water in chairs or at the grass. And then it is only about a 5 minutes walk to one of the best beaches, I've ever seen (outside Siam Beach Resort). The beach here is like a postcard - wow!

The food was a bit to the expensive side, but it tasted great every single time! If you want to eat cheaper, go to Siam Beach - it is almost half price - but it is also about half as good.

The staff is amazing. So friendly, welcoming and service oriented! Huts where also awesome. Cozy and roomy. Big bathroom and nice balcony.

We stayed at The Beach Natural Resort in january, and there was a bit too many children there after our opinion. So we usually ate at the resort, but was on the beach in front of Siam Beach Resort during day.

Don't expect any party at night. The resort is more or less completely quite at 9PM. So bring a book (or borrow one from the resort).

Stayed here for one night during early January 2011, before we moved next door where bungalows were half the price, but twice as good (Koh Kood resort). We phoned ahead before we arrived and tried to book the superior room, however we were told that it was not available, but that we could go into the larger family room for 3 nights. The booking agent assured us that this was equally as nice.

When we arrived we were led to our family room, which I must say was very spacious, but upon inspection, this room was completely basic. The windows didn't close which made me feel uneasy. from the start since we had a laptop and some valuables. There was no Fridge ( a basice requirement in 2011). The room was so badly decorated, you could quite confidently say it had not been decorated since the early 90s. All in all it was a very basic bungalow, that I had paid no more than a thousand B for anywhere else in Thailand. We paid three thousand eight hundred B for this room, Hmmmm. So if you want to pay 4 star Thailand prices for a 1 star experience then stay here. To add insult to injury, we were told that this room was only available for one night and then we would have to move to the basic room. Which was still well over two thousand B per night. We spoke to the booking lady on the phone to find out how this had happened, she appologised and said that a mistake had happened. I reluctantly accepted her explaination. Right then, a French couple behind us came up and said they had been told exactly the same story !! Make from this what you will. All in all, we moved to the resort next door to a much nicer bungalow that cost half the price. We also rode around the island on a motorbike, and found most acommodation on the island to be roughly half the price of this place.

Don't get me wrong, beautiful Island, unspoilt, and well worth a visit, but if you know Thailand as I do, you will be more than aware of what, that sort of money buys you in Thailand in the way of acommodation .
