“Peaceful resort on Bang Bao Bay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

This place was beautiful, nice and quite secluded amongst the lush island of Koh Kut. Upon arriving to the pier we drove a beautiful 30 minutes through the jungle to our resort which opened up to the beautiful bay.

Let me address a few things - if you did your research you will quickly find out that this resort is not for little children who need to be entertained. There is plenty to do if you would like but for the most part it is a perfect escape to just lay by the bay, swim, read, relax.

As for the bungalows I stayed in a garden view deluxe and it was gorgeous and clean. It came equipped with a dvd player, mosquito net and big open shower (the water pressure wasn't great but we are on a remote island).

And as for geckos and mosquitos - again - if you've done your research you will quickly find out that Thailand has tons of mosquitos along with geckos (which eat bugs so they are a nice asset).

This resort was beautiful and a bit rustic but the staff were helpful, kind, attentive and they food was delicious and a good value. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to those who want some R&R.

A friend and I stayed at this lovely resort. Beautiful room and bathroom. It was low season and is extremely quiet which is wonderful if you are looking for tranquility. The whole island is resort style so don't expect to be able to bar hop. Motorbikes are rentable during daylight hours. Very good for couples or families looking for this dirt of a holiday.

Our family of 4 booked a package of 3 days 2 nights through our Thai friend. After a extremely long travel of 4 hrs and 2 hrs ferry from Bangkok, we finally reached the island with excitement. After another 1/2 hr rough ride via their local taxi to the resort and checked into the family bangalow room, we were totally disappointed. The room was badly dimmed and rundown. The worst was the toilet which was full of ants crawling everywhere, invading the toilet bowl. I became the ants slayer for the next 2 nights. When night fall, the place turned out to be a mosquitoes festa. In the middle of the night, we had special guests, gecko calling out at the window which freaked me out. What an experience for us! It was definitely a good experience for my 2 city kids. :)

The positive side of the resort was the resort Thai-Chinese supervisor, Mr Chen who could speak very good Chinese and was extremely friendly. He attended to us every time and was very service orientated. We were very impressed by his excellent service and that alleviated our unhappiness of the accommodation slightly. He is definitely an asset to the resort.
We were lucky to have booked the package with 3 meals provided as it was impossible for the whole family to travel out for meal. Food served was reasonably good. Location of resort is too secluded.

The bench was serene and nice sunset as seen in the photos. More suitable for couples who love natures. Both my kids enjoyed crabs catching at the bench. Overall, the resort is not catered for small children. Resort needs a revamp on the existing rooms badly. I would not recommend family with children to visit there.

I live in Bangkok and spent a long weekend here with friends. We had a terrific time. Highlights: gorgeous beach on lovely, peaceful bay that is great for long swims; exceptionally friendly and obliging staff; really tasty Thai cuisine, especially the Tom Yum (which is richer here than I've had it elsewhere); and the best Thai massages we have had in Thailand (and that says a lot). A few things, however, need improvement: 2 of our 3 beds were uncomfortably hard; the hotel doesn't provide shower gel or soap (only peculiar, paper-thin "leaves" of soap that were of no use); and the snorkeling trip offered by the hotel (via Koh Kood Diving) was to a tiny, remote spot with dying reefs and literally dozens of other snorkelers. The hotel, of course, can't do anything about the quality of the reefs, but the staff should have let us know what to expect, especially since there is decent snorkeling right in the bay where it is located. That said, I should emphasize that we wouldn't hesitate to return to the Beach Natural Resort.

Travelling to this resort by speedboat is a special experience, and the resort itself an idyllic place, away from it all. Nothing to do but lie on the beach, swim and read a book. Oh, and eat their delicious food. The staff is, like the Lonely Planet said, beyond friendly. After we forgot a small bakpack with the keys to our home in it, they sent them by DHL for free! This remote paradise is the best for a relaxed holiday.

Room Tip: We had a Sea Breeze bungalow de Luxe which was situated in the upper section. Really quiet and a bea...

Our family of four stayed here for 4 days recently and thouroughly enjoyed our stay! The lush tropical setting of the bungalows (basic but good enough), a great beach and a wonderful central restaurant/bar setting with very friendly & helpfull staff ensure a great time. Would go back anytime!
