first of all the charge in Mid Nov in high season for Ocean View Villa for 4 nights is average of THB11787.5 per night (HKD~3000/~USD385). More expensive than others but the service quality definitely worth it. The car (cap 4-6 pax) and speed boat (cap 20 pax) are excellent, quick & clean. The staffs are so well trained & polite and provide us ice water immediately at pick up. We felt so lucky there is a car service waiting from Trat airport and take us to pier where it took around 50mins travel time(BHT1800 whole car). The hotel boat are fantastic, high speed, safe, stable and new, no others hotel can compare with (package included already)! if you travel with big group or family, it is highly recommended! Our package included 1 free dinner for 2 but with lots of seafood enough for 4 on the romantic beach side bar with good music like high class indoor restaurant. Room is clean and comfortable and package with unlimited mini bar and drinks, however the room serivce never refill the snacks for us....maybe she didn't know?? Ocean view villa has a bath tub with open moon roof but haven't tried bathing with their Thann products as it looks not perfectly clean to me and too lazy to clean myself. All sanitory stuffs are provided by hotel and Thann products are really nice too. There are minor things i would like to point out is shower. It is nice but water flow is extremely slow, hot water is difficult to adjust due to water pressure i assumed. The toilet seat & cover seems not clean properly or misused by other habitants so there are stains marked which I never sat on it but for GUYS it is perfectly ok! Due to glass rooftop it is quite hot in bathroom sometimes although there are windows, always afraid small insects might sneak in if they were opened. Balcony is excellent for relaxing, having wine and watching stars & moon. Overall room is really good, well equipped and clean as room service come twice a day. Hotel restaurant has very good food especially Prat Thai, desserts just average but drinks are great too! Never go try the restaurant at resort next door (really sucks), you will regret it. The Beach is really clean with fine sand have few boulders in one part of shallow area which is good for snorkeling, you can see the fish without any equipment! Perfect for kids and good to swim, kayaking was fun and all equipments are free with life suits. Free Spa is good but only massage available at this moment, it is recommend to do after sun before dinner time. To conclude, everything in Cham's is good so suggesting to pre-booking with hotel staffs for cars to waterfall and spa or anything you need. Renting a scooter is neccessary if you are adventurious and curious to explore the island. I believe there is no need to go to Soneva Kiri as it is not easy to access and food is expensive with average quality and beach just the same where Captain Hook has too many locals and they smoke alot, crowded and noisy.

Room Tip: Ocean view villa is good and there is no need a pool with your room! Air con in room is good in Cham...

Great 6 days stay at Cham`s House. Friendly staff, beautiful location, great food.
October/November was the perfect time for a visit.
Our flight was delayed so we could not reach Koh Kut before the day after our scheduled arrival. The staff at Cham`s arranged for us a stopover in Trat at Rimklong Boutique Hotel, which also was a pleasant experience.
Can`t wait to revisit Cham´s House!

Cham's House is a 2 year old resort, which is on a nice stretch of beach. It lacks a bit of atmosphere and charm. We stayed in a pool villa with beach view, which was nice and paid THB 6500 per night including breakfast. That is a fair value, but this place is not worth it's high season prices.

Dear Valuable Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to describe your feelings during your stay at Cham’s House & Spa.
I agree that at the rainy days the atmosphere and charm in a tropical island are not able to be compared with sunny days and crystal clear water as expected during an island holiday.
We will continue to make different special promotions every year (except during the peak season).
I hope that in the future one of our next special deals will seduce you again.
Most sincerely,

Basically, it was nice with friendly staff. However, it was overpriced in spite of incomplete construction and untrained staff. The room was spacious and nice but there were many geckos' scat and ants on the bed as well as many antflies in the bathroom. When we stayed there, it was raining everyday so we couldn't enjoy the beach or waterfall trip. To be honest, there are nothing around the hotel, very isolated. We just stayed at room and tried its SPA. The SPA was not luxury one (just image local massage). We had it in the room under construction. There were no changing spaces, shower, tea service after treatment. The bed and towel there were also not clean and outworn. I expected that they used THANN products as I found ads "Thann Spa" but it seemed not and nobody in the hotel knew about their products. Actually, they provide Thann products in the room and illy coffee too. I think you should try after a year or so then the hotel should be completed and staff will be well trained. Until then, they should give us much lower price to stay.

We stayed here for 5 days in May 2013. We had ocean view pool villa.

Cons:
1. They don't have their own pier. The speedboat stopped at Siam beach pier but it was a low tide and we couldn't get off. so they took our luggage and we have to go to the other stop. We were very tired when we arrived, when we reached the hotel - the girl at the reception didn't speak English and she didn't know anything about us. It was hot and we had to wait before they found our reservation and could arrange everything. Even though we called them before (which was not easy - because sometimes they just don't pick up the phone) and emailed them as well to tell them when we arrive.

2. The hotel is very isolated - the road from the main road to the hotel is very steep and very bumpy. You have to be very brave to ride a bike there. They don't have a car for rent. Bike was 500 baht a day, the taxi to the fishermen village and back is 2800 baht.

3. The beach is very dirty. Look at the pictures. Water was clean and there were a lot of waves so it is good to swim, but in general - nothing special

4. There is no wi-fi in the room, even though their website says the opposite. The wi-fi near the restaurants is hardly working, the signal is very very weak.

5. There is no telephone in the room. The hotel is located along the hill - so you have to go up and down every time you need something from the reception. When we asked for it the only thing they said was that there is no telephones at all.

6. The service is weird. We went to the boat trip and paid in the hotel - so they knew we were out - and when we arrived 5 hours later they still didn't clean the room. We have a little daughter and she sleeps in the middle of the day. so when the cleaner came - she was sleeping and we had to send them away. For my surprise they didn't come back at all and we had to ask for cleaning. The next day we ask to clean the room before noon and they didn't. I had to go to the reception 3 times (because we didn't have a telephone) still they were unable to solve this problem in half an hour and my daughter fall asleep before they came :(
I had to say that all the people are very friendly and they really want to help you but the system just isn't working...

7. The hotel is not good for children. The waterpool is boring and it is exposed to sun so you can't really swim there when the sun is too hot. The steps to the villa are quiet dangerous - I scratched my feet to blood 3 times even though I was careful. The doors to the toilet/shower zone are very heavy swing doors - not nice for children.

8. I couldn't really see the sea from our villa, you can see it on the pictures.

9. Really, there is nothing to do in this hotel and it is too complicated to go out :)

Pros:
1. The hotel have a free ride to the waterfall.
2. They give you a free bottle of wine when you arrive.
3. The food in the upper restaurant was very good!

As a conclusion - the hotel is very overpriced, people working there are nice, but service is bad.

Cham's House is lovely. Located next to a beautiful stretch of undeveloped beach it is one of the best places to stay in Koh Kood. The shady, manicured gardens surround spacious and well designed modern bungalows, and it is small enough to feel like a boutique hotel. It is quiet and private, and perfect for a honeymoon or just a romantic getaway.
However, Cham's was undergoing some construction while we were there (the only reason we could afford to spoil ourselves like this!) and are adding a new apartment style wing, spa, shop etc etc. whether this will make it too crowded is a question that someone else will have to answer.
We spent three nights here over New Year's Eve as a spoil to end our Koh Kood visit. It was fantastic. They put on the best New Year's Eve party with amazing seafood BBQ on the beach, and floating lanterns. We loved it.
The rooms are spacious and the terrazzo floored bathrooms with massive stone bathtubs are very luxurious. The decor is fresh and modern and comfortable. We didn't have a private pool villa, but the hotel pool was so quiet that we never saw anyone else there. The rim flow pool has wonderful views over the sculptural bungalow roofs to the sea, and there is always someone at hand to offer you a drink.
Breakfast was okay but probably a little disappointing for a hotel of this standard. I realise it is not always easy to get fresh produce on a small island and maybe a smaller selection with a more local flavour would work better rather than a buffet. There is such amazing fresh fruit on the island but we saw so little here. But, the restaurant on the beach front does excellent food and is great for sunsets and star filled evenings as well as fresh fruit smoothies while on the beach.
The staff are well trained and so friendly, and if there is a problem it gets fixed in seconds.
Cham's is really well run and the German manager doesn't miss a thing!
We loved Cham's
