River Kosi is one of the 2 rivers in the park which provides a lifeline to the wildlife of the Corbett National Park. If you want to experience the beauty of this river, you must plan your visit in the winter months of the year i.e. November to March as this river is usually dry in the summer months untill the monsoons arrives in the month of July every year.

We waded through the water near Garjiya Devi Temple. It was nice even for the kids. There may be other good spots too, but didn't explore much. The Kosi barrage near Ramnagar is a good sight seeing spot with a lot of migratory birds.

upstream from Ramnagar town the river has a lovely rocky bed which takes on a surreal quality at sunrise and sunset. Lovely bird variety including hornbill, water redstarts, kingfishers and even ibisbills. Nice landscapes and quaint riverside temples!
