Chose this hotel for a night's stay on our way back to Bangalore. Being tired from our long journey we had booked 2 AC rooms. The rooms were pretty big and nice. But the room service food was horrible. In the first place the room service number was not working from my room and had to convey my order to the reception.
In the middle of night at around 3AM there was a lot of noise outside our rooms with people talking loudly and shouting. Waited for an hour and then called up the reception. They assured me it will be taken care off but it was still the same even after 5AM. Finally at around 6AM it subsided. Me and my friend went down to the reception at around 6:30 AM with a full blown headache. We got to know that few tourists had checked in while travelling and all the noise was made by them.
When we asked as to why they did not handle the noise even after we called and complained, the rude people at the reception answer to us that when there are tourists there will be noise and we are supposed to adjust. We were taken aback by their reply. People were shouting, running around, tv at full volume and all this at around 3 AM and the hotel management has the audacity to give such a response. We asked to speak to the manager, a one Mr Varadaraj. Even he was of the opinion that since it was for a few hours, we are supposed to adjust. We really could not understand the mentality of these people as to how they could tell such a thing. After we paying up for AC rooms, we are supposed to adjust to their nonsense. Even after all this there was NOT even a single word of apology from them.
We had half a mind to ask them to refund our money back and conveyed the same to them. But since we had to get back to Bangalore at the earliest, just cleared our dues, collected our bills and checked out.
This is one of the oldest hotels in Dharwad and I guess success has gone into their heads. Also one word of caution is that the hotel people take the full room rent as advance while checking in itself. The hotel standard has really gone down and it is time to avoid this hotel

been here once but was not a good memory to live by.although had to vacate the room abruptly thanks to the rude receptionist.a big fat lady, hope she is no more manning the reception.one hell of a female.travelled abroad many places ,never had such a bad experience.

although the restaurant is good,i do drop in sometimes but never stay there.dharwad has very few good hotels, hoysala does count in it.

Room Tip: rooms facing road for adventurous and away for those value a good nap.

We spent a night ais hotel on our way to Mumbai from Bangalore & again on our Return Journey. The Rooms are clean and the beds & linen are clean & comfortable. The place is centrally located & has enough parking place. The room service is also satisfactory. The Restaurant serves very good food. The Room rent is very reasonable & worth the price

I stayed here last week for night, on my way to Goa. The hotel looks small, but the rooms are fairly big, and clean. Opt for the suite room instead if the AC room, as it has a nice dining table for your setup. The AC room is as big but kind of bare. Both cost about a grand per night, and is good value for money.

The bathroom is functional, and clean. There is limited parking in front of the hotel but, not many cars either. They also have a restaurant by the same name, serving pure veg Indian dishes.

I would recommend this hotel for a sleepover, and will be staying here whenever night falls as I pass through town...
