“Good Value Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

The hotel is situated out of Oreias on a business / Residential park. The rooms are more than adequate and of good size. Breakfast was the typical all you can eat buffet. You really do need a car if you stay here as everything is a bit of a hike away as it is on top of a hill from every direction. We got a great offer price, so it certainly hit the value button. My only warning is that if you do not like a firm mattress this may not be the hotel for you.....I do so it was great!

The hotel is a correct, 4 star, business hotel. They have a habit of adapting the price to the demand. So if you go end of June, as I did, you can have a really good deal on the price. By looking around on the internet I could have the room at almost half the list price.

The hotel is located in a residential area and there is not much to do around it; it is therefore best to have a car. Many people in this hotel come for the Taguspark (a nearby business park), and the hotel provides a free shuttle to Tasuspark. To get to downtown Lisbon by public transport is possible but will take you about one and a half hour! By taxi it takes 25 minutes outside rush hour, and the taxi will cost about 20 Euro.
The hotel has an acceptable restaurant. However, there are several good restaurants in nearby Caxias, Paco de Arcos or Oeiras. All these places are within less than 10 min by car. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Caxias or Paco de Arcos.

The hotel breakfast is at 10 euro. For this you have a normal hotel breakfast. However, I don't really want a complete breakfast, so usually went to one of the two small breakfast places a few minutes walking from the hotel. There you can do as most Portuguese do, have a coffee and some pastry. It will only cost you a few euro.

Decent room, but hotel is in a residential area with not much to offer. Will not recommend for those who is in Lisbon for the first time. I am hoping the breakfast will be decent as i will only know in about 30min when i get down to the restaurant. There is supposed to be a supermarket but it is pretty far away (15min) walk if you don't get lost.

Amazing silence and atmosfere that this hotel gives us, its magical.
The rooms are huge, very comfortable and very clean, the beds are great and fantastic, the bathrooms are an example.
The hotel is modern and well decorated.
The breakfast is excellent and with good service
The price is very affordable, is it really worth
We recommend for rest or for dating.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be good as the hotel is very calm and away from noise.

Visiting Lisbon while on business trip, my husband took me with him. The hotel was ideal for him, providing a shuttle bus service in the morning and delivering him straight to the business park located just 5 mins drive from the hotel. Having a room on the top floor, we had excellent views of Lisbon, the sea and river. Breakfasts were very reasonable with a great choice of cereals, cheeses (try queso fresco - amazing!), ham, yoghurt, pastries and hot breakfast (mushrooms, bacon, scrambled egg, sausages). If you prefer to dine in, choose the buffet option (3 course meal), as it is cheaper, there is always something to choose from and you will never get back to your room hungry. Most of the dishes ordered from the menu didn't make us feel full, even though they cost more.
Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a free use of SPA and sauna provided, however, we never got there as we were out most of the nights.
Regarding travellers willing to explore Lisbon itself, the transport access to the hotel is quite limited. As it is located on the top of the hill, the only way you can get there is walking or taking a taxi. The distance to the nearest train station (el Paco de Arcos) is around 2 miles. The huge shopping centre is located in almost the same distance 2.2miles. However, it takes you around 25 minutes to get to the beach, which is not crowded and lovely.
I would definitely recommend it for business travellers, however, if you are an explorer, it's better to choose something closer to the town.

Room Tip: top floor has wonderful views

We stayed at Hotel Real Oeiras last summer for a week, we went for Optimus Alive festival. The hotel was great, lovey staff, great food and a really great pool and gym.
The pool was fab but the only issue was nature, the hotel is on a hilltop so it was quite windy which even in the high of summer made it very cold!
The location was a little out of the way but taxi's are so cheap that its not a major issue. There isn't much to see and do around the hotel itself, nothing is really within walking distance.
The cleanliness of the hotel was top notch, the internal telephone system was great because we were quite a large group staying.

One thing that really confused me though was the fact that all the reception staff kept changing their badges over, on one day one man had the name badge "Luis" and the next day he had another name.. it was a little strange to me.

24 hour access to the hotel though was superb, entry with your keycard was great!

Great hotel, shame about the location.

very good hotel, friendly staff, nice room
breakfast very expensive for my taste (10 euro per person), good roomservice, at the dinner during the week a buffet for 12,50 euro available: soup, salad, 2 main dishes, dessert. good value for money. You need a car because hotel is in the middle of nowhere!

Room Tip: ask a room on the 4the floor, frontside, nice view on the 25apri bridge and statue
