Great location in the valley. Rooms are fine and food is good. Service is good. Was there for a conference. Facilities are great. Not much else close by but you can get onto a good wine tour to travel around to other great locations. Scenery is amazing

Location is ideal for a Barossa weekend. Staff are friendly and efficient, rooms are nicely appointed, extremely clean, with lovely views. We had dinner in Harry's Restaurant on Saturday night and left hungry and dissatisfied. My partner and I agreed to share an entree and dessert and have a main course each. For entree we ordered the sauteed scallops ($19) - 3 lonely little scallops arrived on a long plate with about 1/2 teaspoon of cauliflower puree artfully spread down the middle with a few salmon pearls springled around. We both ordered seafood linquine for main ($32) which took over an hour to come after the entree. Main was a very small serve of pasta with nicely cooked seafood but the dish was just too small and very bland. Dessert of chocolate pudding tasted like a SaraLee pudding out the can. We ate at this restaurant about a year ago and found the meals to be good quality and value, very very disappointed this time around.

Dear Andy W,

Thank you for your review! I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the staff to be friendly and efficient.

I was concerned to read about your disappointment which you encountered with the slow service and value and size of the menu in Harry's Restaurant and Bar. I truly apologise that this did not meet your expectations. My chef and his team take pride in providing variety and quality and I can assure you all desserts are made fresh.

Your feedback is taken very serious and the chefs will take this on board as they are always looking for ways to improve.

Thank you again, We hope to see you again soon.

Warm Regards,

Sarah Henderson

The Barossa Valley is quite possible perfect!

If you haven't been here, you're missing out on a food and wine region that is simply scrumptious!

The Novotel is located on a hill and takes in a view of the valley.
Our room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfy. A small kitchen area to cook your own meals is provided and a large refurbished bathroom. There is a chase lounge and a desk with internet access.

The balcony had the greatest view but the chairs provided are cheap and uncomfortable.

The staff are young and quick. They lack experience but make up for it in enthusiasm!

Being winter we couldn't enjoy the spectacular swimming pool and outdoor area. Wine tasting bar in the foyer is great!

Harry's restaurant is huge and has a wonderful ambience. We had dinner here and tried booking at 7 but we're told we'd have to wait until 8pm. We had cocktails at the bar. My biggest criticism of the Restaurant/bar area is that it's more like a doctors waiting room than a bar. It's too quiet and seems to be all about waiting for your table in an area - rather than a place to enjoy a few drinks and socialise!

Perhaps a bar is needed in this resort?!

I had the duck breast entree and the Pheasant main. The Pheasant was very dry and over cooked. We waited a long time for our mains to arrive.

The Golf Course is lovely and the wine selection never ending!

The nearby town of Tanunda is a credit to the people and council as it is flawless! Fabulous coffee shops and great shopping. You must drive through Seppelts winery and vineyard it takes your breath away!
