Visited with our school children and teachers. Resort is one hour drive from Rajahmundry(East Godavari District,A.P) Airport and ideal for day trips too. We stayed overnight. Resort staff are very good and provided tasty Andhra food. Swimming pool is very spacious and clean with rides. Small stream is running very nearer to resort. Very calm environment. Must visit.

Cant even expect this.First i contacted them and i asked for the price they said 2.5 for two rooms. After reaching the resort at 12:30 am they changed the price and said 6k for two rooms, because They thought its night time when they reach they cant go anywhere. We waited for 1 and half hour such that they can reduce the price.Butvthey didnt change it.Later finally we got one auto there and we went to other resort.

Maredumilli is a good place for amateur bird watching.
Bird's nest resort is more of a party place, as is written at the entrance. If going for bird watching, there is no need to stay there.
It is alright as a property, it has a stream at the back. It has rooms with a bathroom, a basic open shelf to keep your stuff in, an AC. It has a bed enough for 2 people.
There is one tree house on the first floor of one of the rooms,it is called so because the tree is close to the balcony.
The bathroom is okay, though the water from the sink goes out into the soil outside the room.
There is cable TV, with mostly South Inidan and a few English channels.
Food is there if you like. Carry your own food if you are particular about oil and or taste. And tea too if possible,
There is a hammock, tyre swing, a plank swing near the stream. There is a badminton and throwball net with the respective apparatus. You can have a camp fire.
The resort is mainly a weekend getaway for locals. People may come and wash clothes in the stream, someone comes and cuts wood from the opposite bank, used plates with remnant food is left beside upturned chairs by some guests.
Birds are there to spot within the premises, minivets, nuthatches and orioles. That is when there is no background noise for you to identify their location.
Outside the resort, along the state highway, there are several spots where one can stop and spot birds such as eagles, woodpeckers, minivets.
Another resort nearby which we checked out called Aranya is made to be like a rustic jungle-looking place but we found it costly and very basic.

Room Tip: The tree house may be better to see birds from, in the morning. Avoid the rooms near the entrance gate, those are really seedy.
